2026 xlt awd hybrid lux, copilot 360 and tow package….along with Kali (Kaylee).
My retirement vehicle. I pretty much wanted a loaded maverick but no leather. Hence, i didnt order a lariat. Thought an xlt lux, copilot 360 and tow package would be a Lariat equal without the leather. Silly me.
- Wow, I didnt know they still made manual rearview mirrors. I've got one now! A loaded xlt is not self-dimming mirror worthy? WTF. My 2013 F150 has one.
- love the self dimming headlights
- I've got the ford connectivity service.
- After much touch screen exploring and online researching I was surprised ford doesn't have their own navaction system. I guess I use Android auto to accomplish that. I question what benifits their $15/mth "connectivity" brings to the vehicle.
- cruise control. No adaptive but I don't care for the feature. My wife's 2021 Tesla .model Y has it. She loves it.
- lane keeping "alert". I discovered that it's a spin of Lane keeping "assist". Scared the heck out of my wife (and me). It definitely doesn't keep you in the lane. "Alert" happens when you're halfway into the breakdown lane. Geesuz, I had a first model year 2015 acura tlx which had lane assist. Wow, it worked great and was helpful. Silly me again, 10 years later I thought a loaded xlt would have it, a no brainer. 5 year old tesla has it as well. Another wtf moment for me.
- heated seats work super.
- wish you only needed the phone app and not a fob too (sorry a tesla thing) No big deal. I typically leave the fob in the car. I use the Ford App or door keypad to enter. I loved the door keypad in my former 2013 F150 so I ordered it on the Maverick.
- Spent $750? on copilot 360. Yup, discovered no birdseye view on a xlt. I still haven't experienced anything copilot . At least it don't think so.
- not a fan of the CVT transmission or it's sound but I'll get used to it.
- I'm adjusting from the size of the f150. much easier to park and fits in my garage. I like the full 4 doors compared to the extended cab half doors requiring opening the front doors.
- for skiers - snow skis fit but barely. My one pair of 186s even fit but elevated. Diagonally resting on top of the wheel well and on top of the bed door sill. Close the bed door and they don't budge. My 177s fit diagonally though I doubt my classic nordic skis will. I have tonneau cover.
- I like my Maverick so far! Rides nicely and has handed well coming up and going down my snow covered hill. Slows itself down as I coast down our hill. I passed my first vehicle today (a Tacoma). It made some noise but the mav has some geddie up.
- this one word says it all! lovetheheatedsteeringwheel.
- Kali my golden retriver loves it too. She doesn't have to jump as high getting in. That should work well as she ages. - Well, it's all about the dog!
Finally, thanks to the Maverick forum and all the information and ideas. Everyone has been helpful. Enjoy your Mavericks!
Oh, and BTW. Go Parriots!
