Wondering how many Tacoma peeps are big mad that they ditched the 6 ? That 2.4 L - 4 Turbo delivers some serious torque. I guess I need one in the Maverick -)

Toyota still doesn't get what people are buying hybrids for. The Taco's electric motor adds torque to the gas engine just like on a Porsche, so it actually gets slightly worse gas mileage than the non-hybrid variant. Its a stupid design choice.

I sold my 2014 Tacoma last December after my Maverick came in. The main reason for switching to Ford from Toyota was the MPG. I had my Tacoma for over 8 years and never had any problems, but when gas prices went over $4 per gallon I just wanted something with a better MPG so I got a Maverick. If Toyota want me back they have to get the Tacoma to seriously improve on the MPG.

Tacoma and Maverick are in two different segments. The Tacoma hybrid can tow 6000 lbs. But has the complexity of a turbo’d hybrid system with a regular transmission, with 20-25 mpg.

I still really like the Maverick’s size and utility ratio. Only thing I could ask for in the future would be a plug in AWD hybrid version with nicer interior plastics, but keep everything else similar.

Ford already has a winner on their hands, let’s hope they don’t screw it up.

So called real 4x4 is not really needed by the majority of drivers. Best for the off road aficionados for sure but as for me I will take the Intelligent AWD system in a heartbeat over the so called real 4x4 I had in my Ranger. Couple this with the independent real suspension and it is really quite an impressive set up.

I think most buy Tacos just to fit in on Tik Tok with their bros. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Wish the Tremor rear lock could handle 4K tow upgrades -

Me too and I wish the rear locker was as option adder to the FX/4 too. I would have liked to have had it when up in my wood lot. Mostly just to have it really as the logging road is not that challenging.
