2025 Shift System fault

Fortunately cleared itself up, but only 1180 miles and threw some faults. Fortunately it cleared itself up as the not in park message kept going even after I closed and locked doors at my destination. No alerts in Ford Pass.

Hopefully this does not come back. 1180 miles would be a record for having an issue with a car for me. this is my first Ford, and I really like the Mav, and hope for many years of problem free(ish) life.

Hey, same exact same thing happened to me. (Thanks for replying to my post so I could find this one). If it happens again I’ll post here as well. Hopefully it’s just a one off. I love my Mav too (first ford as well)

The only time this came up on mine is when I accidently hit the parking brake put parking brake to normal and it went away

I don’t remember hitting the parking break first but it’s very much possible that I did accidentally hit the parking break first

Did you pull the parking brake by accident?
I equate hitting the parking brake with actually pushing it down releasing it.

This confuses me. You were in Park, accidentally hit the parking brake, and then got this warning?

Isn't putting the parking brake while in Park be the time to use the parking brake?

From what I've read a lot of strange things happen to these trucks, there are things I'd like to see done with programing, but I won't hold my breath
