About three weeks ago, I was driving my new Maverick (less than 900 miles) home from a concert, and after braking, the truck would not move forward when I pushed on the gas. I was able to limp the two blocks home and got it in my garage. The next morning, I turned it on, attempted to put it in reverse, and the truck jumped and threw up several errors, including - Shift System Fault Service Required. The truck had to be towed and the towing process took over an hour as it could not be put in neutral. No one knew how to manually put it in neutral, including local dealerships, so it had to be pulled out of the garage.
The truck has been at the dealership for almost three weeks. They have no answers to what is happening, and Ford has told me my only option is to wait until it meets Michigan's lemon law timeline (30 days) or they find a solution, whichever comes first. Has anyone else experienced this? I had the truck for less than two weeks and am sick that this is happening. Of course, this is my first Ford, so not sure if this is a normal practice or not.
