Thanks for insight on your issues. I was going post a question to see if anyone else was unable to get delivery their 2025’s due to mechanical or electrical issues. Mines been at the dealership since the holidays. All I’m getting from them is that a check engine light came on when they were doing their inspection prior to selling it to me. It’s been 3 weeks and all the dealer has told me is that they are still waiting on Ford for the parts.

@fordvideoguy - this is what I was referring to on YouTube... wonder if there is a bigger issue behind this... For mine, I was told it was a CEL and that some modules were having trouble communicating. Colton might have more info, if you want to dig deeper.

I've been getting a a 'pre-collision assist not available...' message on my 2025 XLT hybrid AWD. It has been popping up periodically since day 1 -- but not consistently every time I drive, and the 'not functioning' indicator will often go away. Still, don't know if that safety feature that I paid for is actually functional. At first I thought maybe the sensors were blocked by frost or fog condensation, but that doesn't appear to be the issue.

Yep. That’s exactly what the service techs found on mine and kept it from being delivered to me. Perhaps, when they get a fix they can push it out as a WiFi update. Please keep us informed on your truck.

The folks experiencing this safety issue needs to report it to the nhtsa site to help get a fix in before someone gets hurt imo

If I actually took delivery I would... it also looks like @cwerst has not taken delivery either from the post above.

People, this actually works when we all do it!
I had to report my 2007 Wrangler, and it was the last one before a recall was issued... automatic transmissions stalled out like a manual and lost all power including brakes and steering. Thankfully I was lucky and the jeep went straight back into a pillar in an airport garage and my Jeep suffered the only damage.

Update: My 2025 XLT is still at the dealer with the, still unresolved, issue related to it throwing occasional Pre -Collision console errors. I've not been close enough to it activate Fordpass. I now have the truck tagged, registered and titled.

The dealer did give me a loaner vehicle in the interim. And, the dealer promised free oil changes for my trouble. But, my question all along has been, if there's no official recall, how can Ford prevent delivery? I suggested that the co-pilot system could be disabled while they program a fix. That way, I could at least take delivery.

In this regard, I opened an Advocacy case yesterday with Ford Corp. Hopefully, the advocate's investigation will get this nagging and ongoing situation resolved.

You're surprised that the dealer doesn't want to deliver a vehicle with faulty safety devices or go with your suggestion of disabling said safety devices (which is probably hard-coded anyways)?

Mine only works when it detects someone walking on the side walk or I’m driving slowly in a parking lot looking for a space

I ordered a 2025 Maverick XLT FWD August, 2024. It was built in November and delivered to the selected dealership late December. However, we were told that the 2025 Maverick was displaying console errors related to the Co-Pilot system and we were not able to take delivery. Specifically, the Pre-Collision system is throwing fault errors on the console.

I brought the issue to the attention of the dealership owner and he escalated the service response. The dealership has been working with Ford engineers on the issue. To date, it's still unresolved.

I wanted to bring this issue to the attention of the Maverick Forum in case the issue with my XLT (a PRecall?) escalates into a 2025 XLT Recall.
Here's a final update: I took delivery of the 2025 XLT FWD Hybrid on 1/27/2025. Ford Corp advised the dealer to release the truck to me. My understanding is that there will be a Co-pilot software update, which Ford engineers will shortly release. Then, the dealer will send their mobile team to do the update at my house.

I have not noticed any errors or other anomalies with the truck. It seems to me to be working properly.

I just got a call from my dealership that my truck has gotten the update and I’ll be taking delivery of my new Maverick this weekend.
That's fantastic news, glad ford jumped on this one quickly and Not stacking up like MY24's stop sale waiting for the camera fix, whenever that ends up being corrected. Congratulations !!!!

I got one this morning but I had ice on the vehicle, so I ignored it. BUT maybe something is up?

Something that's up, is the front of the truck needs cleaning, including the top-center of the windshield.
