Update: dealer says their Ford rep says that because the pro trailer assist is standard on the Lariat, Lobo, and Tremor, production will be held in the queue until the feature can be installed.

So supposedly, nothing needs done on our end and all of the high trims will have it regardless of order date.

Interesting that is different from the original stance of if you got a job 1 of the trim effected you would get a $300 invoice credit for the feature not being available. Wonder what will end up being true. Either way unconcerned as I have mentally prepared to wait at least a year....I like to be pleasantly surprised. lol.

That would be great if accurate and true, but I have reservations so early on in the game.

I @Ford Motor Company with a question about this and the Ford account never responded. It would be nice to hear something useful from it.

While I wish this were true (since it means zero Lariat, Lobo, or Tremors would be produced for a while, and my XLT order would be selected most likely on the first day of scheduling)...no....they will not be held until Job 2 so that they have this feature. Can you imagine Ford saying "Hey everyone, we are only going to build XL and XLT for a couple months, even though historically we have kept XL production hella low.....so....we will just be building XLTs for a while".

All orders in the order bank are eligible for scheduling as soon as scheduling begins. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE talk to them again. Features becoming available only at Job 2 is not a new concept. Ford does it all the time. And vehicles are built all the time with those "Job 2" features missing if they are selected for production before Job 2 starts.

Update to the update: dealer got back in contact with me after having their Ford rep recheck and now states "Job 1 WILL NOT have pro trailer features and they would need to hold the order until Ford tells them it will be included." So the last update was incorrect.

@Ford Motor Company should be doing a much better job communicating this to buyers and dealers.

I don't agree. I watch this happen on the 2024 F-150 with the Pro Access Tailgate. People with orders in job 1 got scheduled and built without the Pro Access Tailgate when they wanted it. People who went unscheduled until job 2 got the Pro Access Tailgate.

I have been told that there will be Job 1 Lariat orders produced without the features by the Maverick Brand Team.

I guess time will tell. I know what I've been told and what I've learned. I have also seen Ford change their minds, example flat towing a hybrid AWD.

I was told that the current price is based on the current order guide. When the features are included the price will increase $300. That was confirmed by the Brand Manager.

The simple solution would be for Ford to contact all the people who ordered Lariat models, and ask them if they want to wait for "Job 2" and pay the extra $300 to get the option, or go ahead at the current pricing without the option. (Job 1) I know, that make too much sense.
