A departure it seems from the cowboy/horse nomenclature. (Bronco, Maverick, Mustang) I guess the F-150 was named before Ford got cute.So "lobo" means wolf south of the border.
Does "lobo" mean "LowBoy" north of the border?

The F-150 actually debuted in 1975, after the Bronco, Maverick and Mustang had already been named. Of course there were other F-series trucks back to 1948, which I guess were named before Ford got cute.A departure it seems from the cowboy/horse nomenclature. Thanks for the info. I would guess that it wasn't one person in charge of naming the vehicles. Sort of "you be cute with your names, I'll just call my truck line F (for Ford, and engine displacement)"The F-150 actually debuted in 1975, after the Bronco, Maverick and Mustang had already been named. Do you think it can be mounted without the Ford Spoiler? I dont have it. How is it secured? Double side tape like the Ford one?https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BTRQ3611?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1
required alot of cutting and modifications of the base plates for mounting to fit my "spoiler" from ford i had attatched, will take some close ups of the mounts later if you want me to, i love it. spent an afternoon with my dremel and a few cold ones. turned out fairly nice to me.
probably be easier to mount, i actually used 4 screws plus the tape to install it. when i bought it, it has a 10% coupon with it, so i got it for less than 40 bucks to my door, so i didnt mind cutting the feet up to fit. it is sturdy abs and the tape itself would hold it. i will take pics when it quits raining if you would like for me to. to me it looks like it was made for it, it is the exact width of the tail gate.Do you think it can be mounted without the Ford Spoiler? Very interesting article. Many thanks for leading me to it. The newer names are far less confusing, wouldn't you say?
Booyah. I'm excited to drive this as there have been upgrades to the suspension, cooling and brakes as well as torque vectoring and Lobo mode.
The interior is gorgeous and now I need to figure out how to get the blue bits for my truck. The yellow and blue stitching is perfect. The grill makes the front end. I was unsure about it at first, but the Lobo's differences help immensely.
10/10 want to drive it and track it.
I apologize for the glare with the sun on the east side. I have a video I will check and add later.

BooyahI stole these photos off the Ford website and it looks like they took some liberties with the suspension height. All of the photos of the Lobo in person or videos don’t look as low as the promo images make it look.
