Thanks. Yeah, advanced navigation wasn't enabled. Interestingly, when I enabled it it made no mention of a trial or anything like that.
Ah, trial info was hidden in the FordPass app:

As others have stated, I also have a 25 Lariat and received a letter about subscribing when the 1 year trial runs out in January 26. I have Android Auto and Waze to use. So it sounds like it is not necessary to subscribe to Ford, if these other systems are available. Correct??

My only caution would be to double check what other features the Connectivity may provide beyond navigation. I previously had a high-end Audi that never had the Nav package, and was told by salesman that with Apply CarPlay I really didn’t need it. After that I learned that there were a host of features that were bundled with their Nav package that I didn’t get either. I know Ford isn’t Audi, but it wouldn’t hurt to be cautious. Happy New Year everyone!

I assume they meant to use your phone connected to your display via Apple CarPlay or Android auto, not just using the phone by itself.
L o L
I just talk to my IPhone and it tells me where to go and sometimes how to get there.
:’P

Wait

I miss paper maps, used to have a glovebox stuffed full of them.
FREE at any AAA club office.

Funny thing those maps, never needed charging.
But you couldn’t have a sugar brain.

You had to be able to remember what you looked at on the map last time you stopped.

I got the same email I’m debating whether or not I’ll pay the $80 annual fee for the service my 2025 Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid was delivered January 23, 2025 I do like the Ford Navigation 🤷🏼‍♂️
I look at this this way. WHY would anyone pay Ford for something you can get for FREE on your phone....connected to the same screen in the truck??? And it's better than Ford's stuff. Maybe I'm missing something. o_O o_O o_O

Never use it.

I see both of these services up for renewal on my '25 Lariat, but what are they exactly? Are you calling the Connectivity Package what Ford is calling Premium Connectivity? Navigation or MAP updates, while FREE with many other car brands, are these now a subscription service with my Maverick?

if you dont pay $80 for "Navigation", then your map will still work and update. You just wont see the red lines for traffic and the map markers for gas stations and coffee shops. Most people use their phone for that traffic stuff anyway.

the Premium premium Connectivity package is different...PointyEars put up a list of stuff that includes.

Thanks that makes it clearer for me.
