Finally got my suspension installed, 2” lift with overload springs and damper adjustable shocks (Flatout GR Lite) and Tmbren Jouncers.

Ride quality is excellent, just a little firmer that stock, tight handling, feels great!

Before adding the lift, I was arse down a couple inches with a full bike rack, now it sits even rear to front when loaded.

Oru camper works great, mattress is an RV Queen, lots of room popped up, had to swap to stronger struts once I added solar and paddle boards.

In the bed I built cabinets over the wheelwells, storage and water on the drivers side, lithium battery and diesel heater on the passenger side.

The base camper is #350, the rack and swingaway add 75#, solar is another 50# with cross bars, bikes and SUPs add 200#.

I like it better than the Scout Tuktut, more head space, bigger mattress, half the price, and I can park in the garage 👍

Wow.

The camper really makes your rims look better. Nice side effect.

That camp setup looks amazing! I'm mildly jealous. Just waiting for my CVs to fail and get replaced on my '24 hybrid then I'll be doing a 2" lift as well to help my adventures!

Thanks for sharing!

Hard to tell from the back but is that camper the Tenfold or the Bruin? Also, how badly does the gap between it and the truck's roof affect your mpg? As soon as I'm able I'm getting one of those campers. Looks great. Thanks for sharing.

Nice setup!! I was interested in getting an ORU until I saw how high above the cab they build it, why on earth did they do that!?!?

Yes, that is the Bruin, it’s the nicer set up because you have a lot of headroom compared to the wedge; you can sleep facing either direction.

So you can order the camper with a shorter base; the tent and the base are built separately.

There’s a slight up charge to get a shorter base, the downside is with the camper closed you don’t have a lot of headroom.

I had the same thought ^ until I started using the camper; it’s awful nice to be able to sit inside with the camper down , change clothes, grab a drink, etc .., without crouching.

The air dam will close up the gap nicely, I just haven’t had time to install it.

Ordering timeline:
Tips for ordering and building out:
plan well in advance, it takes months in order to get the camper, then you have to pick it up; assuming it’s ready when you schedule to pick it up.

Bed:
The mattress that’s included it is marginal at best, it’s also very long at 84 inches. I cut down the removable rearward portion of the platform to 72”, then added a 6 inch RV short queen mattress. By shortening the sleeping platform to 72 inches, you gain a foot of headroom when the camper is up or down.

Wiring:
Wiring is awkward because you need a way to accommodate the extra wiring. On the interior it’s easy enough to secure the wiring along the camper folds.

On the exterior it’s a little tricky, you need a way to tension the extra cable so it doesn’t need to be stowed every time the camper is used. I used a bungee cord to keep the solar cable tensioned when the camper is down.

Cabinets:
I built cabinets over the wheelwells, leaving enough space between them to mount a fridge. It was a pita to get everything to fit. The cabinets are bolted to the accessory track.

I have an idea for an easy box build, I need to work out the details, once I have the design I’ll post it the forum.

Heater/Exhaust:
For the diesel heater, I replaced the built in bed storage cubby with an aluminum plate, then routed the exhaust through the pand down through the rear fascia, behind the wheel well.

Roof racks/Solar
The roof racks are sort of a weak point, they are not that strong, but done right they will support a couple solar panels and a couple SUP’s. I have 2 x 100w Renogy rigid panels mounted end to end using three crossbars.
