I ordered my 2024 Ford Maverick - XLT Hybrid in July and received it in February I've had it less than 2 months and already had the engine light come on with less than 1600 miles on it? Anyone else experience this? App reported cylinder misfire. Car would shake and not accelerate right or go over 65MPH. Brought it to Ford Dealer and now waiting to hear back. Really frustrated about this, bought a new car so I can rely on it.

Got a 2024 XLT Hybrid in March. Only drive about 5 miles a day. But took it on a 200 mile trip in the pouring rain. The engine light came on after the next start up. It stayed on for a day with about 3 or 4 off/on's. The next day the engine light was off and has not come back on for last 2 weeks. Did not notice any mechanical difference, just the engine light staying on for a day. Came on at about 350 miles, then off by 360 and off since ....

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

I feel your frustration and hope you get an answer and fix if required. There is nothing more aggravating then having issues with a new vehicle. I will count myself fortunate that I brought my 2024 Lariat Hybrid home of Feb 3rd and have just under 6K miles already with no issues. I've only had it to the shop for an oil change and installation of the lojack that my dealership puts on all of their new vehicles.

My '24 Lariat Hybrid has abt 4500 miles on it since Nov 28 & has been great so far. Hopefully stays that way. Drove round-trip NJ to Fla & all was good.

My 24 XLT, built 12/23 received January has 2500 miles and zero problems. Roughly 1/3 of miles long road trips, half around town, and the remainder local freeway driving.

I had a similar experience w my ‘23 hybrid. In my case a rodent had eaten thru the wire to the 2nd cylinder injector. Running on 3 cylinders is an unpleasant experience.

My daughter and her husband both had this problem in Massachusetts. Both cars parked outside next to an overgrown yard. You could see rodent poop all around the engine bay and dried piss on the sound deadening material. One harness they had chewed through the rubber and exposed bare wire sheathing but hadn't made it through the sheathing yet. They started spraying peppermint oil in the engine bay and the damage stopped.

Glad you are free from rodent poop/dried piss now. Nothing more gross and frustrating.

My 22 Lariat Hybrid lost power yesterday while I was driving it. I believe the engine was still running, but I couldn't accelerate. Fortunately, there was parking next to the car. I parked, turned truck off, then back on, and drove home. It's at the dealership right now. I haven't heard anything yet...
