2023 XLT Lux package bed liner question.

My understanding is the lux package for the XLT no longer includes any bed liner for the 2023 model (https://fordauthority.com/2022/09/2023-ford-maverick-xlt-luxury-package-drops-several-features). Of course you can still add one on your order. Since the 2023 maverick builder is up, there seems to be something there in the bed though. Any idea on what they may be? Is it just painted black? Would that offer any additional protection?Is it some sort of plastic cover for the bed? I'm wondering if it's known since I seeing conflicting pictures on ford's website.

Build tool is bug-ridden. Don't put too much stock in the, erm, stock photos.

Where are you seeing the 2023 XLT lux package as having the spray in liner? I haven't seen it listed anywhere. I know the 2022 one had it, and the lariat lux package has it.

Interesting observation. The spray in bed liner was a major constraint item in 2022.
It was replaced by the DIBL in the lux packages during the model year.
The 2023 Order Guide shows it as "optional"
Ask your dealer. He/she/them should know. (sarcasm intended)

SIBL isn't included with Lariat Lux package according to the order guide. Also the build and price doesn't select it when you add the lux package. Including it in the text for the lux package must be another error in build and price tool (shocking).

The spray-in bed liner is only there in the description. If you select the luxury package in the build and price, it does not automatically select the liner in your build like it would if that were actually included. The text you're looking at was just copied from last year and hasn't been updated yet.

I'm sure there are a million posts on the internet about this, but I strongly prefer a drop in bed liner. Had drop in for 10 years... had spray in for 10 years. The drop in allows things to slide which is way better for loading and unloading. The spray in shows damage easily. Neither is a deal breaker... but I definitely have my preference
