2023 XL/XLT PSA - No ambient lighting

On the XL/XLT it seems to frequently revert to off. I suspect whenever the infotainment got updated.

Mine has remained on through infotainment updates so maybe something else?

I'm not sure if this might be an optional path for someone looking to add ambient lighting. It lists multiple years and models as fitment. Might have to check wiring diagrams to see how it plugs in. On my Cmax, it has something like seven different color settings. Lights up doors, front and rear footwells and center console cup holders.

From the responses I'm seeing from similar posts on Reddit, it looks like Ford may have removed the center console ambient lighting from ALL the MY23 trims, leaving only the door handle and foot well ambient lighting for the Lariat trim...

I have a 23 Lariat Lux delivered last week and no ambient lighting over the phone area. Have it in the door handles and the usb ports by the 12 volt plug in.

I have a 22 xlt hybrid and I have ambient lighting.

Anyone know whether the wiring harness is there in the '23 XLT so that all we'd have to do is buy the light bulb to get this feature?

It's not in my 24 xlt tremor but it was really easy to add it using The ambient lighting from the previous generation Mustang. It also gives you the option to choose between red blue and green for the light. Depending on which wire you hookup
