2023 Lariat Lux - No Ambient Light

When they shuffled up those packages just prior to the 2023 order banks opening. They shuffling them to make more money. Year over year model cost went up. So they cut stuff, made stuff stand alone to charge more for it. Then in some models items were removed all together. 2022 vs 2023 Lariat Lux, copilot 360 with remote start spec exactly the same is $3,400 more and that is without the bed liner and bed rails. Extra for the copilot 360 assist, extra for the remote start, extra for the bed rails, extra for the bed liner

The Lariat Lux should have the ambient lighting, but it is OFF by default.

Thanks for all of the responses! I’ll definitely check this again tonight. I had been looking in the cluster menu, not sync menu. I’ll report back to confirm once I’m back at my truck this evening. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!

Thanks for tagging my thread. Mine is a 23 lariat lux like yours and have all Ambient lighting except for center console. Have the door lighting and footwear lighting.

Circling back and happy to report I do indeed have the ambient lighting at the drivers and passengers feet. Sadly, I do not have lighting in door or center console. I’m appreciative of everyone’s feedback here that led me to the right menu to gain access to the floor lights at least!! plus added bonus, same menu let me turn off the annoying backseat reminder too!!!

Looks to be the case. I know my 23 lariat, lux didn't have it.

Yes one of the first things I noticed was that center stack light wasn't there. I guess this was another cost cutting item. I was able to add it back myself using the following.

Still not as nice as having it factory, but gets the job done. I rarely use that USB port and it still looks pretty clean. It does still have the footwell and door handle LED's.

This and also not getting the cargo management system that was ordered as part of the promotion that included the SIBL. Not a good thing!

If you have the foot well lights, you can order the OEM light for the center console and just tap into the wiring from one of the existing lights.


Maybe someone else can confirm, but you might actually have the harness/plug already there, just are missing the actual light.

Hi all. Received my 2023 Tremor Lariat Luxury package truck. Sad to say it doesn’t appear to have any ambient lighting inside. I’ve seen other 23 members say there’s didn’t have the door handles, but did have the under dash lighting. Mine doesn’t appear to have any, and I’ve gone through the settings and see no mention of it. Anyone else finding this? It’s obviously a very small thing, but I was actually looking forward to the ambient lighting in the cab.

I think I read some of the differences between the earlier Mavericks, and the later ones was that the earlier trucks came with more items listed in the Lux packages. Less areas with ambient lighting, no temp reading on the two passenger, driver dials, no wi-fi available, some other restraints.

Wiring harness isn't there and there is no hole cut for the light to be snapped into place. They totally did away with that light. I wish it would have had the harness and whole just buy the light. No such luck!

Wifi modem was deleted. They also removed the spray in liner and the adjustable tie down (slips my mind what they called it). Climate control no longer shows the temps. You must use the infotainment screen to see the temp. Only problem when you are using android auto or apple CarPlay it doesn't show the temp, unless you change it up or down. Crazy!

I believe there is a seperate brightness level button to the left side of the steering wheel beside the Headlight control knob. I can't remember the manual.

Can we get that brightness level button installed in other vehicles? Drivers on 635 sure could use it.
