Has anyone who ordered their Maverick in September 2022 actually received the roughly $520.00 ($420. Base and $100. Dely) Price Protection due to the increase effective Feb. 1, 2023 ?
My dealer says they don’t do this automatically anymore !

There were two price increases for the 2023 model year. One was $500 like you mentioned. The other was $805, for a total of $1,305. At least that was correct for the XL model. As you stated, $100 was an increase in the shipping charge. I read that Ford's offer on the XL Ecoboost would be $1,000, which is $305 less than the price increases. The amount varies according to what model you ordered. The hybrid had different amounts. It depends on what Ford had available for rebates etc., when you bought your truck. Did your dealer price your truck at MSRP and give you the price as of your order date? There are really two things you need to know. Did the dealer give you price protection, and did Ford have any cash back offers available when you took delivery?

Bill, I haven’t received my truck yet ! It should be delivered in the next few days but I contacted my dealer and asked about the price protection due to the increase and he stated that Ford doesn’t do that automatically any longer ! I don’t think that’s right since I have an accepted order at a specific price and after the order is confirmed by Ford there are price increases ! My order is for a hybrid XLT and I have all paperwork when my order was submitted and also copies of Fords confirmation !

I ordered a hybrid XLT in Sept 2022 and when my truck arrived in Aug 2023, I paid the price I was quoted in Sept 2022.

In my case, I paid $1495 less than window sticker--price protection was $995 ($400 base, $100 delivery, $495 cyber orange) and $500 for farm bureau discount.

The $500 Feb 2023 price increase qualifies for Ford's price protection but it is paid to the dealer 45 to 60 days after the sale. Ford tells dealers to give it to the customer but can't make them do it. Honest dealers pass it on, dishonest dealers keep it. Sounds like you got the latter.
That is for a 23 MY order that is delivered during 23 MY. If you don't receive it during 23 MY and you rollover to a 24 MY truck then there is no $500 price protection but if order rules were followed there is a transition private offer.

I just picked my my MY23 truck that I ordered in September of 2022. The dealership honored the price on the signed Contract of Sale, what was $500 less than the window sticker. The $500 price difference never came up.

The $20 should have come off automatically because of the hotspot removal.

Yes I did today. $26700 for my XLT hybrid with hitch and CP360. Exactly the same as the order I signed a year ago. Sticker was $480 more. Shout out to HELFMAN Ford in Houston for not playing any games!

My XLT Hybrid should be arriving next week. I'm paying the X-Plan price on my original DORA from 9/15/2022 not the X-Plan on the invoice listed now.

"I think I got everyone worked up on this price protection and I want to make a correction. COVP is not required for the price protection within the model year. That is only for private offers being issued. VERY SORRY! Dealer should use the DORA from when the order was placed to know the price that should be charged."

My dealer (Randell Ford), would not honor the price protection for the Feb 2023 increase. They also had no clue about the spray in bedliner / cargo management discount in January of 23’. Had to prove that one to them. So either they are incompetent, dishonest, or some combination of the two.

Your Dealer is correct....it does not happen AUTOMATICALLY. Dealer has to apply to Ford to get it rebated to the dealer. Some dealers stick to the origional price and that is what you pay at closing. My dealer charges for the price increase, then applies to Ford for the rebated difference, then sends it to you when it arrives. My guess is that some dealers charge the higher price, apply for the rebate and keep it.

If I were you, I would stay on your dealer to get the price protection!

I now have one of these dealers too. I've pretty much exhausted all the energy I have with the new staff at the dealer. Even up to the General Manager of the dealer he says he has never heard of price protection. Dealer keeps telling me I have to apply for it. Ford says the dealer must apply to get it back. 1 month of BS is enough for me. The Bad dealer reviews will start soon, not only for this, but other issues too.

I got a check for $484. the other day from my dealer on MAV#1 purchase (5/30 purchase date). That was for the $100 destination & Delivery and the $500. price increase last February. Not sure why is was $16. short, but I will take it.
My Mav#2 purchase was also price protected. That was from a different dealer and they just took the $484. off the price when I told them about the price protection (no waiting for Ford to re-reimburse them). I will attach the notice below.
