Wife took the maverick & dog to the dog park, pushed stop start button and. Noticed a strange display at shutdown sooo pushed stop start to see what was on the screen. Nada, zip absolutely nothing black screen as if battery cables were removed. She called the dealership was told call tow truck to bring it in. Driver tried to jump start to no avail finally loaded the maverick on the flatbed & delivered it to the dealership. Two days later the answer is we are still diagnosing it....
Friend of mine had similar situation with his 2023 Ecoboost; not a gig. Like the vehicle had no battery. Problem was a harness connection had worked loose under the dash. Fixed in a couple of hrs! Might direct dealer to this!!

It's Monday picked up the maverick 11ish new starter installed all is well...........almost....35-40 miles later chimes go off "service charging system now" display back to the dealership. 3 or 4 hours to re do or calibrate something tomorrow. Came home in an Escape and I don't like it at all.

Dealership did a reprogram to"cure" the brake light recall saven drove around for about an hour with no issues. We're home with it and we'll see if it's another of those recall software gremlin things. If yours breaks down be sure to use the roadside service it may save another one of those conversations.......
Ooooops up to 2700 miles "service charging system noŵ" warning again!
This one is getting a new home! Might be another maverick or something else just depends on the dealership's commitment........senior citizens need reliable vehicles!

Okay my faith in humanity has been restored!!! Dealership and I came to an agreement that I consider more than fair! I traded my hot pepper red maverick in on another in stocks maverick nearly identical trim and options but cactus gray instead of red. I would imagine the gremlin will be banished from all of Forddom but in our advanced years we just didn't have enough courage to continue down the path we were going ! Thanks to the staff of our local Ford dealership.

I get it Doug. The red one got a vote of "no confidence"
Even it if was fixed for the moment who knows what might pop up later. Maybe a Friday built truck. (y)

It was a Friday build truck! Probably too close to cervasa thirty. No confidence was the issue, there was an issue when the brake light recall was done before the snafus started. Dealership really did make it right in my opinion!

So it's safe to say it wasn't the starter. If it was that simple you wouldn't be dumping the truck, amiright?
