Mine's going in on Monday for the gas tank recall and hopefully they can do the re-flash for the electronic brake controller at the same time.
Fingers crossed I don't need a new tank. No gas smells even with a full tank.

Just picked up my Maverick from the dealer. The gas tank was fine and I got the recall on the electric trailer brake monitor at the same time.

Stop sale shouldn't apply to a resale. They are required to tell you that there is an active recall though...

That reminds me my wife's van has a fuel pump recall.

Holy Crap. This is ridiculous. If the previous post about the bolts being available, ( LX6Z-4B496-B ), I'd order the dumb bolts and hand them to the service manager or technician. Sounds like your dealer is not trying. Call Ford Corporate and the Dealers owner or head person and Raise Cane.

I did receive weekly updates from fomoco (which happened through this forum actually) in addition to what started out as timely updates from the dealer (After 3 weeks, those updates became crickets). I complained about the wait on more than one occasion, but it didn't help. Ford offered a lemon-law buyback, which I declined, while I got to beat around in a gas guzzling F150 loaner during the waiting process. I also magically ended up with an extra 4000 Ford points for purchasing a battery (which I definitely did not purchase nor was on the invoice).

after raising hell each week for the past 3 weeks and contacting FoMoCo and opening ticket after ticket as to where these bolts are, someone finally decided to just let me take the truck home and drive it till the parts come in. Its not like its un-tested, as it has almost 10k miles on it from the previous owner, but baby girl is home with me now. I requested they at least update the 4k tow recall software, so they said they did. Haven't verified via fordpass yet, so i'll give it a couple days.

finally here for the inspection, this is their first time doing an inspection... 2 little nicks in the gas tank, probably getting replaced so back in a loaner car I go. I got here right at 8am, 2nd vehicle in line for service and they had it out for inspection in 2 hours, just FYI for anyone wondering how long it takes.

some more pics, also love the "boroscopio" they wrote on it, lol, guess this was a hermosillo test vehicle for seeing if they could boroscope the holes instead of dropping the tank.
