If I am reading that chart right, then most likely a hybrid with be a Tier 3 (I am guessing) @ 4.9% interest.
No, that's not right. The "tiers" are credit score tiers. Only those with good credit will qualify for the lowest rates...

Good. Makes sense. Thank you for clearing that up for me.

Yes, the chart specifically excludes the hybrid which means it could be standard Ford rates...

2022 Maverick Hybrid orders were only accepted up until mid November 2021.

Even Escape Hybrid orders were shut off early.

They have more demand for hybrids than they can sell. Thus, no reason to incentivize you to buy it, whether with $ off or a lower interest rate. The products are selling themselves, flying off the shelves (lots).

So, expect Ford Credit to offer interest rates that are not competitive with your local / the best national credit unions.

I got a protected rate of 0%/36mo the first of June. Can't beat that with interest rates where they are today.
Yup, I got the .9 rate for 48 months.

Is their reason for that ? Or just because the hybrids is higher demand option ?
I'm not in the business so my advice here is worth what you are paying for it, but.........

1. Higher gas prices have caused a surge in demand for the Hybrid Maverick. Coupled with the fact that the Hybrid is the lower cost option at present, Ford's soothsayers have projected a higher than anticipated demand, a big problem.

2. Next problem, a lower than anticipated demand for the 2.0 Ecoboost engine. So now what does Ford do with all those engines being shipped over from Valencia, Spain where they are made and production orders are most likely in place.

3. Ford must discourage people from buying the Hybrid and push them toward the 2.0. I will be curious to see if Ford continues to offer the hybrid at less than the 2.0 for '23.

Yeah just saw. Might have to try them. Fairwinds is a little cheaper if you do 36 months, but since I will be doing 60 months, I might go with them instead.

Few questions here. Since I didn't have a '22 order and rates are trending up this seems like a good option. Feedback on below is appreciated.

1) Can anyone confirm what Tier 2 credit is? Which service they go off (assume FICO)? At mid 700s I know I'll be good but curious what Ford's tiers are.
2) Are there early payment penalties? I'm probably interested in a 48 month, but it's possible I may change things up. If I can early pay I'll just do 60 for flexibility.
3) Do you have to commit to financing at order, or can you lock in but finalize at purchase? If latter it's a no brainer to lock at order then see where things stand when the truck is made.

1) I tried looking into Ford's tier process before and it doesn't seem like they just go by FICO scores. They factor in past vehicle loan history and if you've had Fords in the past. They also seem to place heavy emphasis on the debt to credit percentage. I am a mid 700 as well and figure at worst I would be a Tier 2

2) Not sure, but I don't believe Ford has early payment penalties.

3) You can take the rates that are locked in when you order or what is available at pick-up, either one. You do not finance up front so just save or remember what rates are available at ordering. It saves them on the Ford Smart Vincent system, but never leave it up to relying on the dealer. Since I will most likely be rolled over, I will lose my rates from last year of 0.9% 48 and 1.9% 60 which really sucks.
