It’s an interesting comparison.
Both are equipped with almost identical HP/TQ numbers. Maverick is a hair longer, wider, but the Lightning is a couple inches taller. The Maverick weighs in 700Lbs lighter than the original lightning.
Pretty cool that we’ve come far enough that a little 4cyl can compete with the old school muscle that used to be our benchmark for power.

With some tuning work should better a stock 2nd generation. But those 80-00's era V8's just didn't flow.
