Do you mean the 12v power that you can add your own connections to?

It's in the owners manual... 180 watts (15 amps) **edit: COMBINED TOTAL for BOTH**. Likewise is the 120v power outlet (if equipped) which is limited to 400 watts (3.3 amps) **edit: COMBINED TOTAL for BOTH inside and bed location**.

You'll have no problems running a compressor style cooler from the bed supply. I do it all the time time. Most won't pull more than 5A of current.

I believe the vehicle needs to be running to supply the 12V to that bed outlet.

Good day @Yellowjacket

Here are a couple examples of what we use...in our Maverick it is a DC cooler, requirements in photo, and our RV Fridge/Freezer, 3.2 cubic feet I believe and pick your power source.

Both would work amperage-wise, keep in mind motors take up to 2 or 3 times momentary voltage when starting so must allow for that when sizing your device.

I ordered my rear 12 volt plugs through @Maverick_Innovation_Designs (through Etsy) and highly recommend his products.

I believe you are right, or at least the ignition needs to be on to get power to the bed plugs in my 25 XL - No ignition on = no power to the rear bed plugs - I just tested that hypothesis.
Power is already off by the time I exit the vehicle to check the voltmeter.

It does make me wonder why the manual would state to not drain the battery by leaving devices plugged in overnight or when parked when there is no power to the plugs unless there are model trim/year differences...

I have the 25 XL and @El Kabong has a 26 Lariat...

No, it follows the timer that controls all accessory ports. Mine runs for 90 minutes after the ignition has been shut off, which is plenty of time to eat a meal.

At least thats how 2022-2024 works.

I have not tested but assume the Lariat will also shut off power to the 12v lines after the timeout period. The Lariat is just a trim level that adds features. All the stuff on an XL that is on a Lariat will work the same (and, with time and money, you can fit many XLT or Lariat features to your XL).

I've seen multiple threads where folks who camp/overland have fitted auxiliary power solutions like power banks in the cabin or under the rear seat for long-runtime power to stuff like coolers, no reason the same idea can't be fitted into the bed area.

I should add that running a 12v accessory from the AC outlet is very inefficient, as it will be going through DC-AC-DC conversion.
