2022 Maverick Ecoboost XLT with 32k miles right now. My truck has been at the dealership for 2 days, going on 3 now while they try to figure out why there is no juice in either outlet. They swapped out the plugs with new ones but that didn't solve the issue and the dealership can't seem to figure it out. Anyone else had a similar issue and got it resolved?

Unfortunately, I never thought to test these outlets when I first bought the truck in 2022 so I honestly don't know if they ever worked, but my son recently tried to charge his tablet in the backseat and told me it wasn't working and I do want them to function before we head off on our camping trip next month.

Hello, Nicholas. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to see how I can assist you with this outlet concern.

Assume that they have tested fuse?
The 110v inverter is a modified sine inverter with a cutout if more than 3.3 amps is pulled in. Some 120v devices will not work on some types of modified inverters. Try several things that don't pull over 3 amps at 120v. Also from what I have read on here if you are checking voltage for output at plugs expect to see 60v from each blade slot to the round "ground" hole. This is is possible using a split phase modified wave inverter. Devices not requiring pure sine wave should see it as 120v. The thread was titled "inverter weirdnes" ( yes with one "s" ) but I believe all detail has been deleted from thread. You may have to use an inverter in the front power port but it's on a 20 fuse or the USB ports. I am not sure but believe the rear USB power port might be on the same fuse as the 120v inverter. The rear USB port is a charge only port. Good luck.

It was the first thing the dealership told me they checked, before they swapped out the outlets themselves. All they told me was that the light next to the outlet in the back center console should be illuminated while the truck is running to show that it is active but it is not.

I guess whenever I get the truck back I will double check the fuses myself before I contact a different Ford service center to get a new set of eyes on the issue.

Thanks!

I had the same issue. It was a loose connection under the bed.

Having the same issue myself @ 51k miles. Mine did work previously, and all fuses are good. Coincidence I'm sure, but noticed this after the tail-light recall was done.

A few folks on Facebook have told me that it sounds like my inverter might be bad if it's not a blown fuse or loose connection. I will mention this suggestion to my service department on Monday.

Nobody ever bothered to turn on the ignition, right? Waka waka. :geek: Those are the ones where the vehicle needs to be on. At least the flexbed 12v stay on in ACC mode and even after the key is out.

The AC outlets only run when the truck is on, they're good for a road trip but can't really use them at the campsite too much. I've used an immersion heater to make tea, but that's fast. I have a food heater but needs to be a long road trip, takes hours. Let us know if you find a good use for the 110v AC outlets otherwise. XLT Lux rules.

My Mav 2022 is at the Dealer right now with RDU noise and 120v inverter problems... The inverter at night works all the time and during the day only works a few minutes.... This is the third time in service with inverter faults.

Yea, yea... I made sure the vehicle was on and running when testing lol. The only thing we really plan to use the outlets for is to charge my child's devices during the road trips, but can't do that till they figure out the issue.

Mine did not work, so took it to the dealer during one of the recalls. They found it was not plugged in under the truck bed. Plugged it in and strapped it to secure it. I guess the factory forgot to do this

The dealership reached out this morning and said they are focusing their attention on the inverter now as the potential issue. They said they will reach out by close of business today to let me know if they need to order a new one or not and when I can come pick up the truck in the meantime.

Better than nothing I suppose.

I'm picking up my Maverick this morning. After a week at the shop, new outlet plugs, and a new inverter, the issue hasn't been resolved. I am going to try a different dealership and see if a fresh pair of eyes can solve the problem.
