Hello all!

Recently the USB-A plug under my sync console is not working. Weirdly enough, the USB-C is working fine, and I cannot find any fuses that have been blown.

Things I have already tried:
-Carefully blowing air to clear the port of debris.
-Multiple cords/wires
-Resetting sync
-Checking the Fusebox for issues

P.S. I have a 2022 XLT - EcoBoost

Has anyone else seen this issue?

Yep
My 22 hybrid has that issue every once in a while. Last time it was both not working. Dealership wants me to schedule in for them to look at, but it keeps doing it and then both start working again, next day usually, and if it’s working when I take it in, say there’s nothing they can do ☹

I've had the same issue as Don806. Every now and then when I start my truck the USB-A port does not turn on. I can still connect wirelessly but not connect to my phone using the phone cable. If I turn off the truck and restart everything comes back on... just weird

Have you guys tried pulling the panel with the USB input to make sure the cable harness is connected properly behind the panel. There is one harness per usb input .

The panel with the USB A & C ports remove easily firmly pulling straight forward.

Android Auto stopped working 10 minutes into a drive yesterday, and I noticed that neither the USB A or C ports would charge my phone using known good cables. The lights surrounding the ports still glowed. The fuse tested good, and rebooting the infotainment system didn't fix the problem.

I tugged on the port panel as recommended by Toddman45 , and while I didn't pop it out, I did hear a relay click. Sure enough, both ports charge the phone and Android Auto functioned without issue during two hours of driving today.

I'll be pleasantly surprised if this a permanent fix. If it's not, I guess the next step is to snap out the housing that holds the USB panel and 12v power point and check connections. One Reddit post I found reported his dealer service department diagnosing and replacing a bad USB module.

Or it's another dreaded head unit software "glitch" :crying:

In my 22 XL eco,

USB-C charges and connects to android auto.
USB-A charges only.

Happened about 6 months in to ownership.
