This will no doubt appeal to the die-hard RAM fans out there. Not to say that's a bad thing. They've been needing something to brag about for awhile.

No hybrid? Won't even give it a second look. Besides, it's a Ram.

Windsor and Coyote are 2 very different sized engines though. The only thing the same is 5 liters.
yep.they have got over 5hp per cid out of those things, still not approaching the "Barra"( don't you just love Ford?)

Coyote based engines have been over 12HP per cubic inch. Quickest Ford powered car in the world is Coyote based.

Are you comparing naturally aspirated Coyote to turbo Barra?

I would say so,not sure but a litre makes a difference(I love inline engines) I think the "trickster" may have been na,not sure though(if I want big power make mine "Goriga!")

they used to put the 302 Windsor in the sport trac, wasn't that and escape chassis? fill me in( the coyote is a wide beast,it would be easier(space wise to install a hemi)
No. 302 W was installed in Some Explorers. Never in the Sport Trac. Sport track was based on the Explorer, but came out after the 302 W was discontinued. Completely different chassis than the Escape.

never heard that before amazing!
Yes, Coyote based engines have made over 4,000HP, with reworked factory head castings!

Not the fastest Coyote, but link to Bret Lasala's Snot Rocket 3.0 street legal drag car on the dyno:

It ran 5.87/242mph in street legal form.

whoa, was that on fuel or e85? It surprised to find out what big burnouts on top fuel were for, speaking of which,I watched the "Deere Power team" trying to be competitive at Monterey VA,the over fueled under boosted things simplydidnt allow for Montereys wouldn't run, they would hook to the sled and stall while a supercharged hemi ate everybody's lunch in its class,me thinks the "Deere Power" team didn't allow for ontereys elevation, their engines didn't seem to get warm enough to run, while the "Binders" and Fords looked like volcanoes at maximum boost and these suckers would fly,the Jds wouldn't hardly fire on either, anytime you are hotrodding you have to understand your limitations and for petes sake take notes(its almost a science now,the dragsters on Nitro have to do long burnouts to get those 500 cid engines warm enough to run,My chum said it was a "controlled explosion"hardly those things are maybe good for one run pushing the limits,I remember watching a camaro that would run nines with a power glide be driven to the meets, spooky thing was it would get 13 mpg on E85(it would "hookup" too a fascinating beast) btw 15 HP per cubic inch is shaky. after those things get hot the ignition system is superflous.
my brief foray into hotrodding has made a couple of pertinent ideas stand out,
1.the only substitute for cubic inches is rectangular dollars 2.its sweet sickness that has bankrupted many.
