Started my car this morning and get a message to service engine soon and the wrench icon on my dash. Ford Pass app gave me the following message in photo below. Hybrid XLT 6k miles. Any ideas? Glad I kept my 2014 Corolla with 170,000 miles to use while I wait 3 weeks for my appointment. FORD TOUGH!

I think people were getting dead Mavs or the error message. I only know from what I read on here though. I’m closer to idiot than expert!

This is really getting pathetic, when is Ford going to do a recall and fix this mess. In my opinion it seems really stupid for a manufacturer to use a spliced cable for a critical power source. Insanity

Where's the splice?

Sounds like you have the start of the bad 12v cable issue that a lot of people are experiencing... Eventually it probably will just be dead when you try to start it. Ford needs to put out a recall asap as more people are trickling in by the day with these issues. When was yours built?

Not sure if that is my issue or not. But honestly I’m going to strongly consider selling it when it’s “fixed”.

2/22 build. Who knows. My dealer said the light could be 100 different things. Maybe they will lose it while it’s there waiting to get fixed.

If I read correctly from other threads in the subject between the bolt in the engine compartment, pics in other threads, and the fuse box or battery, not sure, maybe others can elaborate or update this if I misunderstood

It doesnt sound like the battery issue. Usaully that will be a deep sleep mode error at first and no service engine soon error. Doesnt mean this is not the issue but i wouldnt jump on the battery issue wagon quite yet. Best thing to do is go to auto part store and run codes, report back and that will give us more info..

Since its an AWD fault, you guys are missing that it CANNOT be a hybrid...so a dealer trip will be necessary...

You noticed the word “or” between power train and AWD, right?

Light turned off after a couple days. They pulled the code and it said an error with the gear selector. They won’t do anything because the lights not currently on and they said everything is “ok”. I’m sure I’ll be in again for this issue. Ford Tough
