That's the stuff I found on those codes too. Super weird. Most of the posts were in a confusion wondering how it happened. At least you know it's driveable and it should be a quick fix. I'd say it's worth taking it in and having them get the sensor for you but they shouldn't need to keep the truck. They might even have the correct sensor and be able to fix it on the spot.

Out of curiosity, is the sensor itself mangled or just a wire?
It seems like the connector along with the sensor are mangled somehow. However, my front bumper and grills are completely intact and flawless without obvious indication of a collision. I don’t understand how the sensor and connector are broken in pieces.

Sorry to hear that. I edited my post and added another one on the other thread you commented on. You are good to keep driving on it but your HVAC and temp displays may not work properly. Take it to your dealer and let them replace the sensor because the manual specifies to use a program and reset the learned values. I'm not certain if you can force it to relearn by driving normally or not. Just let them deal with it, they might even have one already and get you in and out.

I have an appointment on Monday morning at 8:15AM at Vista Ford in Woodland Hill, California. I don’t know if it will be covered under warranty. I’m afraid it will be very expensive if it’s not covered.

Well I figured out what is causing the P0073 code. Now what is causing U1027 and U1028?

I forgot about those codes and I assumed they might all have to do with the same issue. One looked to be "missing data from engine rpm", so now I'm not too sure about the ok to drive part I said earlier. The other one is a faulty module so it could all be tied to the same short or whatever happened with the ambient air sensor. If you can avoid driving I would, and only drive to your appt. I would try to check fuses and see if any are blown before driving again.

Took the car to the dealer and the service advisor immediately denied warranty because he suspected it could have been backed into by another vehicle. Luckily several service techs inspected my vehicle and concluded that there were no signs of a collision, not even a minor one, so they all agreed it should be covered under warranty. They replaced the sensor, connector, and even did my recalls while they were at it. Thank you everyone, especially Montana, for your help.

Glad you got it fixed! Crazy what one sensor can do, right?
