Service Engine Soon Warning

This is the 4th time this notification has appeared. When I’ve taken it in, the light goes away and they can’t duplicate the problem. This past Thursday it happened and I called my local dealers. The soonest they could see me is 2 weeks. Any advice?
Here’s the message in the Ford app:

The engine control system has detected that the exhaust gas recirculation system flow was higher than expected for the operating conditions. This is based on multiple sensors input to the engine control module.


Diesel engine equipped vehicle may indicate that it is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of
power.
