I guess what I'd like to know is what parts are those that will be available in October?
If the crankshaft wasn't machined properly, is that what will be replaced? They must have to remove it to check on bearing surface #4.
I hope to replace the front turn signal and rear tail/brake and back-up bulbs with leds at some point. The only down side to led tails is the lower temperature allows snow to accumulate while driving in a snowstorm.
I've used leds and switchbacks for years in my PT Cruisers. Switchbacks on...
So today after running some errands started the truck and the center display was blank...no radio...no back-up camera...no indication of temperature or interior fan changes.
Shut the ignition off and restarted the truck. Nothing.
After arriving home I dug out the manual to look up the fuses...
We had a 2015 Ford Cmax SEL and a 2016 Cmax plug in.
Retirement meant no need for both vehicles. Liked the mpg of the hybrids and more flexibility in cargo capacity made the Maverick a good choice. It was also a retirement gift to myself.
After reading some of the articles about the features, I want to believe that when using the adaptive cruise, acceleration is more gradual than normal mode, especially after slowing for merging traffic, then accelerating.
The divider is working well...the only improvement I can see might be to have it swivel up and lock at 90 degrees to allow long items without removal like one of the aftermarket ones.
I had an appointment for my dealer to perform the air bag recall last Thursday for about a month. "Conveniently" the CEL came on the Monday before...the P237C code...so I was able to have it added to the list. They kept the Maverick overnight...it's the 3rd or 4th air bag recall they've...
I bought one for my truck and had the same issue as well. Loosened the 4 torx screws and it now fits fine. My understanding was the cable was for theft deterrent, but since I have a hard tri-cover I probably won't use it.
I recently took a load of cardboard to recycle along with a dead...
When I took mine in for the software update there were two issues at the time. The grabby brakes, and the passenger's outside door handle quit locking/unlocking.
They said they couldn't find the door locking problem...perhaps the reset of the software fixed both issues.
When I had the locking...
The Carlisle shows have a good reputation for a great time. We'd like to attend, but can't commit yet. When we bought our 2003 PT Cruiser the first event we attended was the 2004 show in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Over 600 PT's from 30 states and 5 provinces attended the 3 day show. We never were...
This is why I bought the Extang 2.0... only two screw clamps to remove it, but in the last 11 months of having the truck I've never had to remove the cover. I must admit the twist lock looks to be easier than the two side clamps.
I tried to order one this morning, but it's currently unavailable. When I looked last night the website said there was a 14 day delay. I'll eventually order one but until then I'll have to be satisfied with the one I made last spring with materials I had on hand. I spray painted it with dark...
Last weekend I saw a Black Maverick at the local dealer's...took a closer look on Sunday.
It was a used 2022 Lariat AWD EB. The Used Car sticker laying on the dash indicated it had been traded. Big black stamp on the paper said "UNSAFE VEHICLE".
I'm assuming that this truck was sold last year...
I bought one of the fillers online in the Lariat bronze and stuck the garage door opener on with 3m tape. I got tired of it clipped to the sun visor...
So the Maverick went to the doctor's on Thursday to have a couple of issues dealt with.
The first was the TSB dealing with the brakes. They performed the required magic and the problem seems to have subsided. Also noticed that the "shudder" when going from gas to electric was not as prevalent...
My dad always kept track of his vehicle fill-ups, and I continued the same on my cars throughout the years.
We picked up the Maverick on April 22, and as of the end of December we logged 10,229 miles, of which 3,951.5 were EV miles (39%)
We paid $965.82 for 235.1 gallons of 87 octane for an...
