On my Lariat there is a touch pad with a "+" in the upper left corner of the screen which changes the camera angle to look down at the rear bumper and hitch, with black dotted line visible to allow trailer connection. Also works well during parallel parking to see exactly where the car behind is.
Last spring when I was carrying some lattice I was able to temporarily disable the back-up alarm with the tailgate down. Today I had to do the same thing, and I can't seem to remember what I did to turn off the alarm. Anyone else figured it out? I can't find it in the manual.
When I had the oil changed and recall 1 done last Tuesday, a transport truck had a carbonized gray Mav on board...don't know if it was going to be unloaded, or still on its way downeast.
Must remember this winter to clean the windshield, the lights, AND the sensor frequently. I usually keep a small spray bottle with washer fluid for use between fuel stops!
Went to Wiscasset Ford today to have the underhood recall performed along with an oil change and tire rotation.
As we were driving away I noticed a truck carrier in the yard with a Carbonized Gray Maverick on board, possibly waiting for unloading.
Someone's getting their Maverick!🥳...
I've noticed this with the accelerator...the spring keeps the pedal in the normal position...to override and go faster there is a "dead" area while pressing the pedal. The cruise actuator has its own cable, and you have to take up the slack with the pedal.
We recently had a chance to try the adaptive cruise feature with slowing traffic. Driving at 65 mph we saw brake lights ahead in both lanes indicating some issue ahead. As we got closer to the slowing, almost stopped traffic ahead, the ACC slowed the truck down to about 6 mph as it is supposed...
Just installed the anchor on mine...works great. Of course it came in a package of 5. Don't know what to do with the other 4...maybe someone else would like 1 (or more)...
Brunswick Ford on Pleasant Street was sold to Tucker several years ago. We bought our used Cmax plug-in from Tucker at their Bath Road location the day before it became Yankee Ford Brunswick. I found their service department okay. Yankee became Darlings after about a year. I haven't had any...
Well, the dealer was able to get a matching tire and it was installed last Saturday. The price of the new Michelin was around $218, a little less than Tire Rack.
BUT...
While we were waiting for the install my wife reminded me that the dealer insisted on giving us an Easy Care package as a...
The SAE sockets wouldn't fit right either...
Ended up using a hammer and screwdriver to get the socket on and off of the nuts. The new lug nut set was made better.
As I suspected it is a piece of a branch...someone trimming their bushes...maybe fell of the back of a truck. I could have run over it with the front tire causing it to bounce and flip enough to be caught by the inside rear tire. I couldn't figure out how to get the full size spare off the...
No no no! The swollen lug nuts were on our Ford Cmax, after maybe 7 years, and 65,000 miles. The tech from Roadside Assistance said it happens on some Fords and Dodges. The nuts are a two piece chrome cap over a steel base. The rust occurs under the chrome causing it to swell. Very difficult to...
I picked this up in a tire on the Cmax about 1/8 of a mile from the house...couldn't get the swollen lug nuts off to take the tire for repair. AAA wouldn't come help because we weren't beside the road. They would flatbed the car to the tire dealer. I told them forget it, got the tire off without...
I think it's a piece of a branch. Roadside assistance is going to change it with the spare, and I'll wander over to the dealer tomorrow...where its a puncture on the side of the tread I doubt it can be repaired.
