Got this on Monday, 1/24. It's been cold and snowy in Youngstown, Ohio.

Was second guessing the color choice. Didn't want the velocity blue, but also wanted to avoid blacks, grays and white colors for the truck. Started seeing more photos of Area 51 and it was looking more grayish blue. But that's lighting. In the day this is more the color I had anticipated and happy with it. Glad I didn't get the Velocity blue.

Neato! Same color on order, though I refer to it when anyone asks as Smoky Blue.

That's a good description. I've been trying to find a way to explain the color since Area 51 isn't exactly a color anyone would know. Plus to many Area 51 is aliens and little green men and think it's a green color.

I went to my neighborhood dealer and saw both Catcus Blue and Area 51. Area 51 looks great under sunny lighting condition. Catcus Gray seems good under any condition. But I took Area 51. The reasons for me are that Catcus Gray is a little too plush for me which will constantly remind me to take care it. To me, I want to use my vehicle to serve my transportation need with least maintenance effort. Area 51, on the other hand, has the kind of dull military utility feel to easy my any guilty of negligence.

Gosh I ordered a Velocity Blue on my XLT EB order as I couldnt quite wrap my head around what this color looks like in person (and knew the blue would go well with the cloth navy/grey interior and charcoal rims) . but now I am regretting that choice after seeing all these glamour shots. Very cool color!

Hello to all members. I read many of the frustrating posts on the delays, but stick it out, was worth it. So---I too saw this color on a Bronco last summer. As soon as I decided, I ordered the Area 51 Maverick, XLT trim. Been an F150 owner all my life but as I near retirement, was wanting to downsize. Was patiently waiting to see the Maverick develop. It was worth the wait. Data----Ordered 9/7/21, production 12/16/21, Built 12/28/21, Delivered 2/3/22. Home 2/4/22. Pleased with the quality of the build. Specs- XLT, 2.0 AWD, Group 300a, FX4 package, 4k tow package, XLT luxury package, Co-pilot 360, Liners, Soft tonneau cover, Engine block heater, Full size spare, Manual rear sliding window. (I also purchased separately Ford mud flap set and tailgate assist and a FITS kit. Debating on the tailgate assist, not too sure I want to remove the tie down bracket. I may need it more then an assist!) With just enough options to satisfy, it stickered at $32565, then $750 less with the Ford coupon they sent me. (A couple of things I would have liked would have been a Sirius radio option on the lower model levels and a different brand of tire, this came with Pirelli ATRs, but that is a personal preference). So, to all of you waiting on your Mavericks, I hope you soon see them.

Yes it’s a hybrid with AT-lite tires.
Wheels are 18x8” +35 offset and weigh 19lbs.
Tires are 235/60/18 Nokian Outpost ATP and weigh 28.7lbs which should result in a net loss of 1lb per corner.
If you’re looking for a similar set up or looking for sport truck id also recommend looking at Momo RF Etna wheels. They’re a bit more refined but weigh about 2lbs more per wheel.
The Nokian Outpost ATP are all weather & low rolling resistance rated tires and are replacing the Rotiiva line.

Saw an A51 Bronco again today and I am so glad I picked this color. None of the photos taken capture the color correctly. It is a much darker blue/gray than all of the pictures I have seen even in full sunlight.
