Yeah, those two videos really were really heavy on the fluff. But I guess when you've got to feed however many numbers of channels they have now (6 7 8?!) with content you just ramble at the camera for 20 minutes and ship it.

Few videos I have watched of theirs I have never been that impressed with. Some of it could be just their presentation personas or they really could be that ill prepared/informed for the videos they do.

Either way some of the stuff they say makes me go really you didn't research that?

Either way the video was still a decent watch despite several of the inaccuracies.
Andre is the man and he’s actually very knowledgeable on the trucks. Nathan also fairly well versed and so is Tommy. Roman is not but I think he kind of has had his fill of the channel.

I like it because it feels like the every man reviewing the trucks. Andre bought a trail boss and forgot to add cruise control and they panned him on it for a year.

They put out a decent bit of content and that probably hides when they do a true test of the vehicle.

They have taken a fwd hybrid off road and loaded to full payload and they have also towed 4K up Ike’s torture test which Ike’s Gaunlet is some of the best content on YouTube for trucks if you ask me.

Guessing they may just not be my cup of tea personality wise then. Either way the videos have had good stuff just hard for me to personally watch.

I'm hoping they do some head-to-head towing & light off-roading with the EB version....really curious to see how they compare in function & efficiency.

I watch their videos, even the TFL EV ones. But I am not a fan of their videos, either. It’s like watching “dumb and dumber” review cars. But…. They do real off-road tests that have the potential to get rigs stuck, which most other outfits don’t do. For example, you watch an Edmund’s video on “Wrangler vs Bronco”, and they test them on dirt roads that you could drive a Prius on. Sad. Also, as others have mentioned they do the Ike Gauntlet. No one else does anything like that.

They for sure do have a place in the industry. I think its more entertainment value then necessarily a reliable source for facts about the vehicles.

Light off roading there should be zero change.

Towing it is obviously not going to be as stout as the ecoboost but it will be capable. Assuming equal efficiency if not slightly better for the EB when towing.

I think they did a good video of the hybrid. Honest opinion going up and down the mountain.

I usually like their videos, but "Hey Dad, what did you order?" "I dunno..."

Yeah. And the "I didn't get a bed liner since it would delay it BY A MONTH!!!!!". Yeah.....in past years. Not for a 2025.

Not sure if Truck/King has anything yet on the AWD/Hybrid Maverick- But they have always been pretty solid and thorough with takes/opinions but TFL does legit stress tests like running out of EV battery on I/70 -

Completely agree!

I mean - they don't have a SIBL either! I also have a moonroof.

So for $3k more I got - SIBL, Cargo management system, LED signature lighting, moonroof, intelligent access, active X seats, B&O, 360 degree cameras, CP360assist 2.0, acoustic glass, 19" wheels - so much value there.
With x plan I’m at 39.5k for my Azure Gray Lariat, 4k tow, moonroof, plus other options. Granted mine is a 2.0 but I feel like I’m getting a lot more for an additional 3K.

XLT lux with BAP gets my vote for worst value of any Maverick trim and option package. (they don't have BAP, I know. xlt lux by itself is not a good value against Lariat.)
That was were I was at too - minus the BAP.

For 2024 I was looking a Hybrid XLT with Lux but on 2025 once you do 4k, Lux, and AWD I was only $2,500 from just upgrading to a Lariat with AWD and 4k. Granted by 2024 XLT build was $33k vs $38k for my 2025 Lariat.

While I agree that the XLT is not necessarily the best value when you add in the Lux package, I think there are plenty of reasons to avoid the Lariat. In my instance, the roads I drive to work are pothole-ridden nightmare fuel, so more sidewall on the tires (17" vs 19") is a good thing. I've sat in ActiveX Seats before, and frankly, hate the way they feel. Also, XLT gets intelligent access/Push to Start for 2025, which was actually a huge selling point for me.

BAP was an obvious no-go for me, personally - it doesn't actually change the interior colors that people complain about (navy), and is ludicrously expensive (IMO) for stickers and paint.

You undoubtedly get a lot for ~10% more money to go from XLT to Lariat - but that doesn't mean that the XLT + Lux is a bad deal. Ford has gotten pretty good at price-laddering you up to the next highest package, just like Apple has done for years. It's clearly making them some money!
