Diode Dynamics Fog lights Voiding Warranty

I just purchased a 2024 Maverick Lariat AWD. One of the first things I noticed was how much worse the headlights are than on my 2018 Crosstrek Limited. I live in an area where there are A LOT of deer, and I'd like to avoid hitting one. I'd like to add Diode Dynamics fog lights, but I've read where Ford has voided the warranty for some Maverick owners because of the fog lights install. Has anyone experienced this? Is it consistent across all Ford dealers?

Not sure where you read that, but a half-decent installation of fog lights will not impact the warranty at all.

If you are finding the headlights insufficient, you may want to have them adjusted. Normally these headlights are great IMHO, but if they are not aimed correctly, that would make a difference.

I agree that the stock headlights on the 22 to 24 Mavericks are some of the weaker oem LEDs I've experienced in a new car, The ones in my 19 explorer Platinum have much better coverage and output, sadly that's due to the low placement of the Mavericks low and high beam LEDs.
Also this is comparing a $30,000 compact truck to a $50,000 midsize SUV, where the explorer also comes with OEM LED fog lights installed.

I have checked myself and my Mavericks light pattern is aimed properly it's just they sit so low to the ground and the LEDs themselves are on the weaker side they don't put out as much light as some others do.

The 25s should be better seen that on all trim models the LEDs are higher up in the headlight housing for better coverage on the road and streets, whether or not the LEDs use have more power is yet to be seen. Adding the dial dynamic fog lights will definitely help, but may or may not make a big difference. I personally have no plans of installing the diode dynamics fog lamps due to having to remove the entire front bumper and grill to install them.

I've never read one post on here of somebody that installed the diode dynamic fog lights and had a warranty claim issue due to the fog lights being installed.

Crazy. my 24 Lariat gets head light flashes all of the time, and I don't think that it's because they're too dim.

Nothing voids a warranty outright. If there is a problem encountered, the dealer/Ford would have to surmise that the fog light install contributed to the issue, and could potentially deny a warranty claim if it's related to the fog lights.

Like someone mentioned, a properly installed light system would likely mean a low risk of a denial. But if done improperly, then you could open up denial to some electrical issues if they would arise.

I would recommend checking the aim on them they might be too high from the factory, I've never been flashed once in the Maverick for my headlights.

I also double check them to make sure the aim was properly aligned from the factory.
