Sorry you didn’t wipe the rain off the window so the entire window sticker could be seen. I think the new price is getting out of control. ~$43 k with sales tax. I would love to have AWD but I paid $33860 for my 23 Lariat Hybrid with Hot Pepper paint (which I wouldn’t change for the boring new red).

Looks decent but I'm still bummed that's replacing Hot Pepper Red. That color really stands out in the sun. This new one looks more like a brick red which is just okay, not great. The HPR is an orange red which is very unique. I mean, just look at my avatar. Sun beating right on it (y)
I agree. My HPR looks different colors in different lights and I've gotten several "wow"s from people that see it for the first time. New color is pretty, but I'm glad I got the "old" red!

I am with you. That color has to much of a pinkish red hue in my opinion. Hopefully 2026 the Hot Pepper Red will return. They say the Eruption Green is a 1 year offering. Hopefully the same for Ruby Red. When I ordered my 2023 I tried to get Hot Pepper Red in a XL and couldn't so went with the XLT.

Strange the interior does not have the orange on the door pulls and vents. The Eruption Green shown has them? I see this one has the black in the taillights like the Black Apperance Package.

You are right. The price is now in the vicinity of a F150. A demo XLT FX4 could possibly be bought at $45k plus taxes and fees. There are many STX trim for less than $40k. I couldn't see myself spend $40k for a little truck while a more capable truck is $45k.

Maverick is small and offered in Ruby red which is a nice color. I could see someone who likes small things in Ruby red be interested in this Maverick.
You're not comparing similar vehicles. A demo is not new.
I wouldn't buy a big-ass truck anyway, as I have no need for it. And neither to almost all Maverick buyers.

Fitting a vehicle in my garage is a more important capability to me than having an oversized truck I don't want. And then there's fuel. No fn way...

What have they been doing in that car? There are condoms all over the interior. Hope it's not a customer order that the dealer is pimpin out for test drives or something 😂

Sadly, everything’s like this. Crapp cars used to be 1k now 5k minimum for beaters barely running. I’m not even mad paying the more money as long as it’s reliable.

just sucks in general.
Agreed, but sometimes it's important to still buy a $5k beater or drive your existing car vs getting a loan to buy a new $30k+ car. People are too willing to talk themselves into debt or justify overpaying for things they "want". Vs .... Buying what they "need", voting with their wallet, and waiting for those votes to bear fruit in the open market.

Everywhere we look prices where being jacked up, but people just kept buying and justifying their overspend. Whether you can afford it or not, you vote with your wallet. But the XL instead of the XLT or lariat, buy store brand vs name brand, etc. Do it until price of things you actually want drops ... Perhaps years.

If it was cool and socially desirable to drive old, economical, and easily repairable cars then the new car market would look different and regulation would be too. But ... people as a whole aren't that smart or self disciplined 😞.

One of my least favorite colors, I always refer to it as old man red.
Toyota Camry Red

I actually like the color but I feel like it doesn't suit something as boxy as a truck. On a mustang or something with some curve and style it would look great, similar to Mazda's Soul Red crystal.

It looks good, it's just not a color I would pay extra for.

I understand this, I’ve been driving my 13 Scion tc I got in June 2012 I paid it off and drove it ever since but I feel like it’s time for a new experience. I would keep both vehicles but I don’t see a point told my friend his daughter can have my tc.

See a reason I’m doing it is I only owe 6k left on my house which I’m paying off real quick then my last debt will be this Maverick. May wait til after I get Maverick tho because I read once you pay house off your credit can tank hard for a moment, would hate to do that before I get a loan

But itl be nice for little truck bed and room for passenger, I’ve never had someone in rear of tc in 13 years lol
