Anti-theft proximity alarm?

Someplace along the way I seem to remember someone mentioning that there is a proximity alarm on the Mavericks. Haven’t seen it discussed on any forum on the site. Does it really exist? Comments?

I saw a youtube video on some newer fords have it installed, just not enabled. Thru a series of key turns and break presses could turn it on. Would be interested to know If it works.

Apparently, all the equipment is preinstalled on every truck and it costs $208 to have the dealer activate the system.

Do all Mavs have the potential?
Or does the potential only come as part of a package?
If what you say is true, then I think that Ford is starting a dangerous precedent here, if they sell me truck and don’t tell me how to use a part of it.
It’s MY truck…….why can’t I use it?
My apologies to Ford if the equipment and potential is not there.
I don’t mind paying for extras. But I DO want to make use of that for which I have already paid!

XLT and Lariat have the perimeter alarm standard. Only XL doesn't have it.

Has anyone tried to verify that the XLT has the perimeter alarm? I havent purposefully nor accidentally based my window to check.

Part No: KN1Z19A361A...this part adds the shock sensors to make it a perimeter plus system..you can also add DM5Z19D596A to have a flashing red light

And if anybody does get the PLUS perimeter system, you may as well go all the way and get the remote start (even though you get it on the FordPass app).
