Do we have any idea what pins on the harness communicate with the audio module for the speaker system? My audio sounds really good 98% of the time. I’m getting the occasional static pop about two to three times a song always at random points. Ideas?

Pin 8?

My assumption is my audio bugs have to be a result of the harness since they didn’t exist before. Though the Sync3 APIM did have an issue of the occasional audio skip. This is more of a very soft static pop. Almost like a record with a little dust. Two to three times a song.

Unsure if it’s harness, APIM, or software at the moment. Maybe I’ll reset the audio module?

Am using the B&O system on the Lariat which I don’t think would cause an issue?

Feel like harness is my best bet then. This static pop has to come from some sort of electrical connection. Or at least I hope?

You wouldn’t happen to have or be willing to share your as built file would you? Am slightly curious if I just uploaded it to mine if it would narrow down my back up camera issue

For the splicing in of the other cable that powers the screen?
Do you have the wiring diagram? If you look there are a number that should be also shielded I wrapped mine with shield tape Amazon. Like $8.00
There are others

Does this apply to a Lariat that was already equipped with Sync3? From RedNeckGarage video he never mentioned having to adjust any other cables besides the harness adapter

Update on the audio pop. It only happens when playing music through USB.

Bluetooth and radio do not have an issue. They play flawlessly. I’m assuming this is either a software issue on the APIM or damage to the USB hub or APIM to USB cable.

Later I’m going to grab a Type C cable and try the other port. At current time I have only used the USB A port.

Amazing work man! While my harness is definitely the issue when it comes to the visual quality, the vehicle know turns the camera on when put into reverse.

I also don’t know how, but using your entire as built and then adjusting one or two things for my vehicle somehow solved the slight pop I was hearing when using CarPlay? After using your exact build and restarting the vehicle it seems perfect?

Screen already installed. For some reason the home screen looks small after programming.....
