I have read a lot of threads about this issue. Has anyone heard of a solution for this other than hooking up a trickle charger. What have dealerships told you guys. It is annoying constantly getting this alert, not having interior lights, and worrying she wont start.

The best solution is two-fold for hybrid owners. First, get an AGM battery to replace your current battery. Second, wait for the software fix, coming the 1st quarter of 2025.

So Ford is working on this? Will it be a recall ?

Wait for the fix before spending money on batteries. Who knows, maybe will be software and battery or maybe fix will be so good that existing batteries will be good enough.

Very frustrated with the dealership when I had it recently serviced. They "tested" the battery and said it was fine. Their soluiton was to "drive more". That's not a solution. Unbelievable.

Not a recall but close. Challenge will be getting your dealer to acknowledge and do whatever Ford will come up with.

To me it's not "some" but almost all.
I wouldn’t worry about that. I think it will be acknowledged by all dealers. They’re just as sick of it as us likely.

My dealer is actually gave me that exact sheet / promise a software fix is coming as the “solution” to the issue. IE - sorry but just deal with it until the software fix comes out.

While we wait, I installed an AGM myself and trickle charge if parked for more than two days.

Love this truck. But hate that me and others have to deal with this on brand new vehicles.

I agree, I first took it in a month ago. They said the battery was fine. They reset the BMS and sent me on my way. I took it back Monday for this issue plus water coming in the HVAC system, and rattles. It's still there waiting for parts. They said the battery was bad this time and changed it out. I got the alert last night with a new battery in 24 hours. Same problem. Ford really let me down on the quality of this vehicle . This site is a great source for information.

These are very neat trucks. I do wish it was built better. When I took it in Monday I had frost inside the windshield, ice under the floor mats, etc from water coming in from the HVAC system, plus the battery issue every couple days. Come on Ford.

My experience as well. They did keep it overnight, recharged the Battery, but I'm not going to travel more. The distance to my work is the distance. After servicing, I'm getting the message again. Very frustrating. But on the good side, it hasn't hindered my truck from starting. I can still use my key fob to remote start as well. It was cold here a week ago so I needed the remote starting.

I feel your pain. I had the battery replaced three times on my '22 XLT. It didn't make a difference. So I traded it for a '24 Lariat. So far it has spent a total of two weeks in the bay for the battery saver issue including a new battery. Still no resolution in sight, only lip service and the anticipation of a software fix. Definitely a love hate relationship going on here.
