Has anybody had any luck putting something like this a truck with a drop in bed liner? I mean I figure it would work. Honestly, I'm afraid of drilling the holes. I don't want to miss or drill too deep and mess something up.

Looks good, you should figure out a way to mount those self retractable ratchet straps to it. I added them to my Ford factory rails in a fixed position and they are a game changer for me. I can only imagine how awesome they would be if you could move their position.

I had to add rails to my ’24 XLT when I installed Mabett’s bed divider. Unfortunately, Ford provided a DIBL, with the luxury option with no means to substitute a SIBL. That earned more than a few four letter words addressed to Ford from me. Installation of the rails required that I dismantle the DIBL and open up multiple bolt hole locations and those at the tailgate for the 12V pigtail. I wouldn’t even think about drilling without taking the DIBL apart The markings on the backside of the DIBL sides for drilling were faint if visible at all. I ended up having to measure and mark the distance from one bolt hole to the next. Let’s say I wasn’t always accurate. I was left with more holes than needed. I was fortunate that the installed rail covers over my mistakes. Another issue is that the DIBL is not a second skin on the metal bed sides. It is a very loose fit with significant space in some locations between the DIBL and the truck sides. I needed to make a stop at a big box store to find longer metric bolts to complete the installation. It is definitely doable, but more of a pain than should be required.

While your product is designed to make use of the Maverick’s OEM bolt hole anchor points, that does not mean there is no drilling. Those with a factory DIBL will have to drill holes in the liner corresponding to the bolt hole locations on the truck bed sides.

I agree. I understand Maxzina hopes to introduce retractable tie down straps for the Maverick soon. Sight unseen, I have an idea of how I will be able to mount a pair to my side rails and slide and lock them anywhere along the length of the rail. If successful, I’ll post how I accomplished the mod.

Yes, I have done this. You need to remove the side panels. I put the holes in before I installed it. I can’t remember, but some of them are marked on the other side. I used a spade drill and drilled a 1” hole which was covered when the track was installed.

I installed L-Track in my bed (no liner) and really like it, BUT I had to make both 6 mm & 8 mm transfer punches (screw shank with pointy cone end) to precisely locate the mounting holes in the rails so flat-head machine screws would sit flush with the inner surface of the rail. If they don't, then an L-track anchor will not be able to slide past that point. It's not all THAT critical, but annoying. The threaded holes in my bed were not precisely located (varied a few mm) so I have strong doubts that pre-drilled rail holes will line up well enough with them to allow the screws to seat properly. If these rails were made with extra space inside (to allow pan head screws), this would no longer be an issue. Note that L-track anchors from different vendors may occasionally have issues on a different vendor's track.

I made up 10 or 12 sets of these for Mavericks and tried them on 3 different trucks. I did find slight variances and on the production models and I abandoned the countersink screws because of this and went with a slotted hole and shallow head cap screws. A countersunk hole and matching screw only works well when perfectly aligned. Also, I was concerned about the thickness of the metal at the back of the track when countersinking for the screws, as it got quite thin.
