Well F***! Just got my 2nd deep sleep message. At least I now know not to read the message in the app so it will be there to show the service department as the messages accumulate.

Already put my NOCO charger/maintainer on.

Sigh. Bring on the tariffs so maybe selling would become an option. ATM best offer is $8,000 less than I paid 6 months ago! 😂😂😂

Wish it did on my 24 hybrid lariat. Since my 1st (& so far only) deep sleep, I’ve been double locking with the fob. The chirp is most annoying.
IMG_9703.jpeg
As it shows - the chirp is only given on double-lock IF something is open, the same way the lights will NOT flash if something is open.

After recall for taillights I had this extra option added - Feedback. Or I didn't notice it before.
I can't find it in the online manual either. Disabled there is no honk on double-lock. And chirp can still happen when you need it on mislock.

I'll mentioned after the recall, it appears the double-lock may turn off my stuff sooner now - it did not used to though, confirmed watching thru window at powerpoint Volt reading staying up no problem.

Here’s what is up with my 2024 Hybrid.

1) Mislock is definitely off
2) press fob lock twice - beep & lights flash
3) hood open, press fob twice - nothing

Seems to me Mislock off only eliminates the beep when something is open.

Otherwise pressing twice gives the beep. Just went through those steps.

With your year/trim may have different results. I just wanted to be able to double lock to minimally reduce 12v drain without the annoying beep. And I’d rather not leave a door, hood or tailgate open.

To my knowledge, Motorcrap does not make an AGM battery the correct size for the Hybrid.
If you want an AGM that fits, you need to buy another brand.

I will be on my fifth battery as soon as I take it back in to the dealer again for the Deep Sleep issue.
In 2 1/2 years I only have 13k miles on it.
I had battery issues when it got pretty cold. Took it to the dealer and told the battery was fine. I asked about an aftermarket battery and was told if I do that it will void my warranty.

I'm thinking the pre-24's have a mistake since many have reported disabling that mislock honk/chirp and it's disabled when they double-press.

Mine's XLT with latest BCM updated after taillight recall.
Do you have that setting on Lariat I showed in pic?
That's stopped my honk.

Dealer is wrong. You can purchase other brands for maintenance items (oil, wipers, batteries) on your Maverick and not void your warranty.

I just tried changing the ‘Mislock Chirp’ setting to off (unchecked). When it still chirped/honked with a double press on fob lock button, dug out the manual and searched.

Manual says the mislock only disables the double honk warning that a door, tailgate or hood isn’t fully closed. It does not disable the single chirp/honk confirmation that you double pressed the lock button.

I haven’t found a way to disable the single chirp.
Maybe check the anti theft section codes to see if the single honk thought to be indicator that truck is locked is maybe notice that theft alarm has been set????

The manual specifically states "If the battery is replaced in a vehicle with automatic-start-stop it has to be one that HAS THE EXACT SAME SPECIFICATIONS.". FAT A$$ Chance of getting and proving that if done.

Can’t look right now to confirm it’s exactly the same, but definitely similar. And I unchecked the mislock.

Once I get out of deep sleep, 30 to 36 hours from this morning, I will re-check all functions.

Seems the double fob press does get a beep simply confirming lock status.

Just confusing why we can disable the beep when a door, hood or tailgate is ajar. I guess in an obscure way that makes some sense.

Everything I have seen is do the upgrade at your own risk and keep the original battery if you want to take it back to the dealer. I could not imagine if I lived the cold temperatures, and what I would have gone through with my battery situation.
Cold temps is what I have seen hinder battery efficiency greatly.

If you don't drive it a lot it won't be charged enough is what I have seen being told by all of the Dealers.

I drive mine every day but not very far or enough and is what I think my problem, or their/Ford problem is.
I am in California which has no rust and not very cold.
I work 10 minutes from home to work and ten minutes back from work to home.

Luckily I got the Extended Warranty and they will replace my battery for life:fingerscrossed:.
It will be 12 volt battery number 5 soon.

My truck has been doing the No Interior lights and No Dash Display, On and Off for the last month so I haven't been in a hurry to take it back to the dealer. It does seem to fix itself if I dive the truck longer distances, for a while. By the next morning it's back to No Display On Dash or Interior Lights.

Like Mikes22Mav, I’m in Ca, and also don’t drive that much. 6 1/2 months I’m just over 3,000 miles. Just trying to hang on for the recall fix.

As I understand the current charging parameters are for an AGM style battery ( which we don’t have) with a charging cap of 80% (not sure of that).

What will the fix entail! Raising the charging cap? Changing the battery type? Both? Neither?

Does the type, AGM or Flooded, matter? I assume raising the cap matters.

It's a great timesaver 1 honk lock successful 2 honk truck could not lock. Saves taking fob 80+ feet away then going back and trying all doors. Two push lock button after exiting ready to drive hybrid truck in park with E-Brake set on. When you exit you get double honk that you are taking key with you. Then your choice is to walk away and truck will shut off and if not in park goes to park. or do the double lock and truck will stay running in park with AC on with doors locked until key fob comes back. The fob has to be inside cab to be able to select a drive mode.

I put a noco g5 maintainer on mine every time I got no dome light for 34 months sometimes in 2 weeks, or 4,6,7 weeks. Never did it fail to start. Took to dealer because 3/36k warranty about to expire. Claimed had to keep on maintainer and battery was below 12v and was a daily driver. They did quick lane check showed battery good but low. I asked for long charge test and they kept overnight and found dead cell.so gave me the Bxt99rt4 MAX battery which has 470 CCA instead of the same number 390 CCA that was shipped originally with truck both were showed on case "made in Mexico". This sucker will see Noco g5 maintainer every 3-4;weeks at least until Fords battery fix! Even after fix I will Noco my battery at least every six months because it needs sulfate and stratification treatments periodically.

Changing to an AGM battery and the charging level to 95% has solved many battery issues including mine.

The promised upcoming software fix sometime 1st quarter of 2025 for our battery issues hopfully put our battery issues ti rest...

Thanks Bill! My concern, mostly out of battery ignorance, relates to battery type in the ultimate fix configuration.

Since my NOCO charger/maintainer has separate settings for 12V & 12V AGM, makes me wonder about the internal Maverick setting. Those with forescan I believe have said the Mavericks software is set to AGM, despite every Maverick being delivered with flood type batteries.

What if the fix coming not only raises the charging cap, but changes the type? Will it matter?

Seems to matter to NOCO chargers.

We are all hoping that the FIX that is suppose to come out in Q1 2025 will solve things.
Software Really?

Why does it take this long to fix it, if is just software? REALLY, FIX IT NOW!
Again I am on battery number 5 at 13,000 miles.
How about changing the MotorCrap Factory Battery to something else and stand behind the warranty if someone figures out how to fix your crap?

5 trips to the dealer and 2 tows because of a No Start condition. Probably could have Jump Started It, but I let the DEALER handle it since I have EXTENDED WARRANTY and they give me a loaner. I don't take the loaner for stupid 1 day things, just to not be a dick about it.

FORD, Are Listening????????

Ohh, and don't forget the 6 RECALLS I had done during coordinated service visits while doing oil changes and tire rotations and battery replacements!
