How's the reception compared to the factory antenna?![]()
Stubby Jr installed.
I can't speak to the Maverick yet, but my previous Escape I took it off and had no issues. Then again I live in the city. Not sure if it was not impacted due to proximityI noticed zero reception changes when the antenna was removed. Antenna delete item could give people a cleaner shark fin look. Haven’t found one that fits yet though.
Haven't tested it yet. I live out in the sticks (mountains) and reception is spotty at best. I have a 128gb USB drive almost full of music that I use. Still on the 3 month Sirius/XM trial also. How's the reception compared to the factory antenna?
I'm looking at the same rack mounting issue if I add a RTT. Im putting a rack on the bed rails but the RTT will extend over the cab and cover the antenna. Sure that will kill the reception. The placement would have been better close to the front windshield like the F150s and side fender antenna. I will try the short stubby and keep the stock one on the glove box. Easy to change anytime. That's one little change I will be making. If they made a 1" version I'd get that. I want to do a roof mounted rack and the stock one will get in the way.
