I have the parts, but it is only 30 degrees or less for the next few months. I will have to wait until
then to install them. I cannot heat my garage, so they will stay in the box. If anyone else has
installed theirs, please tell us how it went.

30 degrees consistently with no warm ups?!
I did mine at about 40 degrees. It went fine. I put some extra protection on the wiring you have to move and found that using a nut driver on the smaller bolts with my drill motor helped a lot. I suggest leaving all the fasteners that go through the shield loose until you have them all started.

Rec'd and installed mine this week. Overall a good kit and easy install (about 1 hrs with the right tools. I have a long handled 6 point ratcheting flex end wrench that worked well on the big bolts). A couple of the small bolts are not quite long enough with the washers in place, and take a bit of coaxing to get going.

30° is balmy! Currently -11° real temp at 8:30 in the morning. Have seen -25° already, and the really frigid temps usually don't set in until late December and January. Recently had a daytime high of 4° on a bright, sunny day! Yep, my underbody cavity shield is also on the wait list. 🥶

Went great even when the temp after turkey day was in the teens. I heat my garage, so it was a balmy 60 degrees inside. Agree with comments above for install. Watched video and paused when needed. Good product.

I see they are currently unavailable on Amazon, what was the going price on this kit? Sales?

That’s where the nut driver helps, being able to push on the cover and apply pressure to the (shallow) driver socket without the head of the bolt receding into it.

Ditto. 30 is the inside temperature of my garage. I will wait until spring to install. I have a DIY solution installed for this winter. Circulation in my hands is not good in cold weather due to frost bite from farm work in -XX° weather during younger years.

I received mine the other day. Haven't had time to install. I agree with the other post on here going to wait until I can clean out under the truck then install. May look into under coating.
Thanks everyone for the insight.

I snuck an order in on Amazon when it opened up momentarily on Nov 24th. Says it's delivering Dec 7 - 11. 79.99 + tax.

Back in the 70's I always wanted to get some land in Fairplay. Now not so much. Stay warm.

Supposed to be nearly 50 on Sunday, your Packers already lost for the weekend, so come on down and we'll put it on. Garage has a heater if needed.

😆 It kinda grows on ya -- grows OLD!
I've been living in this mountain valley most of my life, have seen -40°, but not for years. With these early snowstorms and frigid temps, I wouldn't be surprised to see them again later this season.

Beautiful here, but leaves much to be desired nowadays. Getting expensive too. I'll avoid making any political comments! 🤫
