We have 90 2024 Ford Mavericks that need to find a good home.

So we have finally switched from paying above sticker( which I refused to do) to buying below sticker. About time!

CM gave me $26.500 for my '23 EB XL with a full-size spare 1,700 miles this past May - think things have shifted a bit since then

We sold all our orders since the start at MSRP.

For the longest time my local dealer around the corner had no Mavericks. Three have been on the lot for over a week one of them almost a month

I'm assuming it was your XL? Those are really the only ones that still have a great resale value. I tried my 2023 fully loaded Lariat shortly after I bought it, and they only offered 35k on my 38k sticker truck.
It is an XL, but the quote said XLT, and they have it listed as an XLT. I don't know why. The window sticker clearly says XL.

That was also my finding when shopping between Long McArthur and Granger (same distance from Nebraska). They both offered 1k off to finance there, but the rate at McArthur was 3% above market (wiping out the discount and more for a 60 month), while Granger was market rate. Just letting people know before they get too excited and make calls.
I've used dealer financing twice to get a better OTD price on vehicle. In both cases, there was no prepayment penalty so I paid both loans off before the first payment was due. One I paid off with cash, the other I refinance with a lower rate credit union loan. Check the fine print on dealer offers...they may not be as bad as you might think.

There is no way for us or other dealers to require you to pay a certain amount of payments before refinancing at lower rates or paying it off. If you pay it off before the 4th payment and the dealer is using Ford Credit, the dealer will be charged back the reserve they received. In this situation we would lose $1000 on the deal. In case you wanted to know how it works.

I always appreciate how transparent you are.

Last June CarMax bid 3500 more on my Tremor than carvana and were right at OTD price.

CarMax came in even lower than Carvana. Vroom had the best offer at the time, but no one was offering more than sticker and once I added the tint and ceramic coating it made it even more of a bad deal. I paid about $4500 below MSRP for my truck and it still wasn't worth it.

"Worth it" is a relative term. What's it worth to sign name 8-20 times? I would consider a break even sale once or twice a year and replacement at same OTD.

Are you able to collect taxes for other states, or would those have to be paid once the vehicle arrives?

My experience with them for my 2023 was that they do not collect sales or use tax (or any tax). They provide a temporary tag/plate so you can drive it home. I can't recall if mine was 60 days or what. But it was a fairly long duration tag. Then they postal mail you a fat envelope of documents and paperwork a few weeks later so that you can go in to your local vehicle licensing office to officially tag it in your state. I pretty much just rolled in with that stack of papers and my checkbook and said "I bought a truck out of state, this is what the sent me, please title it for me". Walked out with my new plates (after writing a check for a few thousand dollars in tax and fees).

Thanks…same process they had at Granger in 22. 👍
