Is it possible to pair two phones in the Maverick? If so how does that work? Appreciate any responses.

at the same time? I've never seen such a thing, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Adding a second you could select? Should just be add a device.

I tried to add a second phone and it deleted the first one. If someone can make this work i would like to know how to do this.

I have had up to 3 phones saved in my Maverick. You can only connect to one at a time though. There isn't really any tricks other than just having the desired phone alone in the vehicle and the other phone out of range.

That is typical in all Bluetooth vehicle implementations (also for Android Auto/Apple Carplay).

It would be difficult for the driver and passengers if multiple phones were connected to the infotainment at the same time. The built in microphone is designed to pickup the driver's voice., and of course, the AA/Carplay screen would reflect only the phone that is connected by wire. I would not try to connect two phones by wire at the same time. That would cause issues.

true, but I did want to mention that if you travel with friends and family, you can use spotify to 'start a jam' on the phone that is connected to the Maverick, and then others can join and manipulate the shared song queue.

I use an AAWireless Adapter (AAWireless.io). From their website FAQ: "

Can I connect multiple phones to AAWireless?

Yes, but just one of them will launch and control Android Auto. It is, however, very easy to switch between phones that are connected to your AAWireless device. The AAWireless TWO allows you to switch between phones by simply using the button on the device."

If both phones are going to be in the car, the first one to connect to the wireless adapter will be in control.

Now that's nice! I have a Motorola dongle
It fits perfectly. I may look into the AA one though.

I have the MA1 in both my Explorer & Maverick. I switch frequently between my Samsung & Pixel phone. To switch between the two phones just push the side button to switch.

Really? I had thought that would erase the first one. Good to know. I am getting a new phone soon I will try that. I hate messing with that stuff as now it's working great. The MA1 tucks right under no excess wires. With the wireless charging in my Lariat? It just works.

Yup, just a simple Press to switch between paired phones, when you press and hold that puts the MA1 into pairing mode.

I was going to purchase a new OEM wireless charger and install it. I about shit when I saw what Ford wants for that wireless charger, it was like 170.00. I think it only charges at 7,5w or less, I'm definitely good using the usb-c cable for charging in the truck.

Might have to look at a junkyard for a charger from a lariat.

Probably not worth it. I don't even use mine because it barely/can't even keep up with how much power the phone uses with Android Auto. I just plug mine in on long trips.

The wife's phone is paired to both trucks and mine is not paired to either. Occasionally I get a pop up asking if I want to add a phone when my wife's phone is not present or maybe when I get into drivers seat and wife's phone is further from drivers position.

Back when we still used din, 1.5 din, and 2 din radios I had one that would pair 2 phones at once and both could interface. Mostly phone calls back then.

Not meaning to hijack this thread but you may be interested in this wireless charging solution. I'm doing this one of these days.
