I use a corded shop vac. It is 6 hp. I bought an extra long hose so I can vacuum the entire passenger compartment. Came with a smaller nozzle but I usually just use the round end of the hose. Use a crevice tool to get in the hard to access locations. Have some cordless models but they do...
I also have the factory mats and would not purchase them again. Coverage under the gas pedal is non-existent and that is where a substantial amount of debris accumulates. I actually added an additional piece of rubber there to eliminate the problem. There is substantial amount of clearance...
I think fitment is the highest priority. I unfortunately purchased the OEM mats from Ford when I ordered my truck. They do not have as much coverage of multiple other manufacturers mats. I actually added a piece of rubber right below the gas pedal where the Ford mats do not cover. Had I to...
Someone had posted using aluminum tape on pinch weld location for the jack. Once you find them that makes it much easier to find them the second time. Especially if it is dark out and you need to change a tire.
Has been extremely cold the last week in WI. I do not usually start and warm up the Maverick but this last week I did. Right now I am in "Battery Saver Mode". That is the first time that has happened. So far no problem starting the Maverick but have to walk out and use the key, no remote...
Has anyone tried anti-glare mirror film on rear view mirror to eliminate the glare. Seem like it may be a very cost effective solution.
Could also be used on side view mirrors.
Was going to take Maverick to run some errands. Pulled out of driveway and had a noise that sounded like I had a lug nut loose in the hubcap. Since there are no hubcap on my XLT; took off the right rear tire and found something between the brake rotor and the back plate. Took a bit of effort...
I was also adding injection cleaner at oil changes. Recently read somewhere that the injection cleaner should be added to the last full tank before the oil change. Just in case anything contaminates the oil. Then it is removed along with the oil. Not sure that can or does happen. But it...
I am not having a problem but my wife was. She was holding on to the loop that releases the seat and the seat would not latch up upright position. It is a two hand operation to get the seat to latch in upright position. You need to let go of the loop after unlatching it from down position and...
Usually hand wash, use car wash if temperatures are low. Use a battery powered (leaf) blower to get most of the rinse water off, can usually finish up with just one drying towel.
Just had my oil changed at dealer a week ago. A week later the oil life monitor is at 98%; but "Est Distance" is only 4,846 miles. Seems odd that the estimated mileage is so low. Recommended oil change interval is higher that that. I have been changing every 5,000 or so. Did not pay...
Several days ago I had a strange thing happen too. Temperature was in teens. Was not at home. Tried to use the key fob remote start, did not start so thought I may have been too far away. Tried remote start again. Was almost next to truck but still no start. Tried to unlock using the fob...
I have the same issue. You also need to clean out behind the front wheel wells. I use an air gun with extended nozzle to get in there when the front doors are open. If anyone has a good way to keep leaves and snow out of that space behind the hood please enlighten all of us poor souls...
