The new administration tariff policies may include a 100% tariff on cars manufactured in Mexico. At least it was mentioned several times in speeches and he seemed serious. If this ever comes to pass who knows. But I'm always forward-looking with my financial decisions.

I'm thinking we have about a 3 month window to determine the new trade policies. If the price of a Maverick doubles that's something to consider.

Tariffis concerning vehicles made in Mexico seem more centric toward Chinese made vehicles, especially EV's, wishing to undercut US made vehicles thus putting US automakers either out of business or severely curtailing them.

Trump & Ford will work things out and I do not believe there will be any tariffs on the Maverick & Bronco. That would be counter productive toward a good American company like Ford. Maybe at some point in the future production could move to the US. Who knows.

Now, as for the BYD Shark EV pickup for example, I believe China is in a bad position with that. They are also in the bad position with tariffs with some EU countries as well.

Welp... at the risk of this response getting deleted again (it already has today)... I'll repeat it...but I'll preface it with it would have applied regardless of who won, so this is not a partisan statement... it's a statement about politics in general, and I see it on both sides

back away from the tele, stop the doom scrolling. nothing is going to change that much. you make a straw man out of a thing or two, shout allot about it, take a few half measures to address it.. you get excited about a thing, throw some jobs at it... most of the stuff credited as accomplishments by any one person was probably something that was going to get done by somebody anyway... and oh.. that's it. same ol' same ol' and the beat goes on.

bronco sports and mavericks aren't going to become poster children for a 3rd attempt at addressing north american trade agreements... financially stable neighbors make for stability... no one is going to shake the status quo up that much.

This. Also, we have a completely separate trade agreement with Mexico which undoubtedly covers US brands with manufacturing in Mexico. That's my opinion anyway.

@Administrator can we please lock this? No, straight up delete it.

All conjecture and is only going to breed political discussion.

MTC should be about Mavericks. Not thinly veiled attempts to discuss politics.
