After nearly three years of ownership, I decided to activate the free 3-month AT&T in-car hotspot modem for use during along road trip. Got it started at AT&T, but can’t figure out how to access it, nor see the network name and password. Web search stated it is handled via the FordPass app, but that app has been updated many times since 2022 and that stuff seems to have been removed.

Does anyone have any ideas? Neither the AT&T site nor the Ford site has been any help yet. Thanks.

The sliders there are blue (active), but provide no other useful information.

Not sure when yours was built, but the hotspot was deleted in later MY22 thru current MY24, may want to check your window sticker if you have it. Supposedly it was due to chip shortages at the time 🤷🏻‍♂️

Mine is an early ’22 so it has all the doodads that were deleted from later 22s.

Go here. Just have your VIN ready.

I don't remember exactly because it has been long enough but they may ask for information from the infotainment system. We activated ours without the app and sitting in the truck.

First I have a 2023 Lariat. I am under the impression that wireless wasn’t available until the 25’s are available.
Second is an actual inconvenience. I have the iPhone pro model. It will not work with the wireless charger in the 23 model because the camera lens is too thick preventing the phone from seating on the charger.

I have an iPhone 13 PRO MAX with case and have no problem with the wireless charger in my Maverick.

The iPhone 14 Pro and later stick further than the 13. They put the longer zoom on them.

If you have it in a case, that could be the issue since all cases are not wireless charging compatible or an issue with the charger itself. I have the iphone 14 pro with the protruding camera lenses in a case i purchased from apple store. Charges like a charm on the wireless charging pad of my MY22

Looks like this thread has gone off on multiple targets. 😜

I (the post author) have the ‘22 XLT with the AT&T hotspot modem. Have not been able to connect yet, but I have some ideas will try later when have a chance.

Yes, the hotspot modem feature was deleted from later ’22 models, as well as all years since IIRC. Instead, customers got a line item $20 credit on the window sticker.

Also, I do not have wireless charging, nor even a Sync 3 (much less 4) infotainment system. Those are issues others have posted about in here. Unfortunately, I have no experience there so can be no help with those questions.

I was able to activate mine using this method. No Cc needed.
