Same for me. Even before I got the Maverick I'll not race up to the red light but seems like a lot a drivers are hot to get up to wait and those are always right on my tail.I've had my Maverick for a little over a week and the one thing I have noticed is that it feels like I have been getting tailgated WAY more than I did in my Ford Focus. I don't know if it is just perception because I now have a tailgate that sticks out behind me that it LOOKS like cars are following closer or what, but it is pretty consistent now that the vehicle behind me is close enough I can't see their headlights unless it's a bigger truck with the headlights taller than my tailgate (but that's a requirement for all truck owners it seems, the larger the compensation, the closer they drive).
I've been lighter on the gas pedal since it's new and also trying to see how efficient I can get on my mpg (68.9 on my 14 mile drive in to work yesterday, hell yeah!), but even still I am going the speed of traffic and 5+ above the speed limit where possible, yet pretty much any time I check my rear view, I see the top half of the windshield of the car behind me, even with smaller SUV's.
