81 YO who needs help.
Have a 23 Lariat. We are leaving on a long road trip and have music we enjoy. I will transfer my beloved music (Eagles, Bread, Fleetwood Mac, etc) to Flash drives and don't know how to play them. Can anyone please assist an old Vet? Thank you

I'm not sure if you're using a Windows PC or Apple.

But I own windows laptops and desktops and I've transferred my music from CDs as well as Apple iTunes over to a USB thumb drive via Windows Media player to the USB thumb drive and I can play my music in my vehicles that way.

I have a USB thumb drive with about 9,400 songs on it in each one of my three vehicles My 14 equinox my 19 explorer and my 24 Maverick. Want you insert the USB thumb drive into the USB port on your Maverick the radio will index it and allow you to play the music over your mavericks stereo.

There's plenty of videos on how to do it on YouTube.

No help here, just wanted to say I like your taste in music.

Assuming you already have the audio files on a USB stick in one of these formats.
• MP3, M4B, WMA, PCM, WAV, AAC, APE, and FLAC

You will be able to plug in directly, then navigate to the radio and click "Sources"
One of those options will be the name of your USB stick and once you select, you'll be presented with media controls like play, pause, fast forward, etc.

I gave up trying to figure all that stuff out and just signed up for a year of YouTube Music for $100 and I can download pretty much any music ever recorded. I have a kick-ass library of all my favorite songs and it's playable offline. I just plug my phone in to the Maverick and proceed to jam. Easy peasy.

I converted all my CDs to MP3s using FreeRip on the computer. I play mine using a USB thumb drive. Have 5,000 songs in the car and a lot more in my library. Download files often aren't very good quality.

Yes, thank you. It's works for me. I have found the majority of downloads to be good to excellent sound quality.

I use Spotify on my Android and plug it into the phone into USB port. Then I can listen to any music I want.

I’m sure you’ll figure out the USB drive thing from all the help you’re getting here, but I would suggest maybe an Apple Music or another streaming music service where you can pretty much get every song you ever wanna hear for 100 bucks. I find it invaluable for the long trips out west as well as a SiriusXM subscription.

I'm 60 and that's the music I grew up with. They were popular back then?

Do what i do,get a iphone,subscribe to apple music,tell sire who you want to hear and she takes it from there.having a 50 year old daughter also hellps also.jump drives are fine but tend to get missing.seriously though,get a little help from a younger family member is the easiest way to handle it!
