Wash my 2024 Lariat Hybrid Oxford White once a week and it looks so good. Use Active 2.0 pressure washer, foam cannon and Chemical Guys Sticky Snowball soap. Gets the Maverick so clean and easy.Is it just me? After washing your Mav, by hand as it deserves it,,, I just gotta step back, crank up the tunes, crack open a cool one and admire my truck!

You know I have a compact Bauer workshop blower and I never thought of using it this way. Thank you for the great idea. That's why I got this Ryobi handheld blower. Gets 90% of the water off the truck, then 10 minutes of towel drying and the towels not even wet.
You'll no longer have the issue of lingering water in crevices or gaps. I got it a couple weeks ago from home Depot on sale for $119.99 with the battery and charger included, normally 149.99. This one has multiple nozzles and attachments, the one pictured has a soft pliable rubber tip.
You could also use your standard battery-powered yard blower but they're too big noisy and cumbersome for vehicle use in my opinion.

Sadly I agree. I have 3 herniated disc’s plus some other fun things going on in my back. As much as I want to give my little truck some loving by a good hand wash I pay for it later. I used to spend hours on my GTO, MACH 1 and many others, took better care of them than myself. I still manage to do my own oil changes but our vehicles should be pampered more. Good to see others taking such pride in their ownershipSame here.
When we get into town, It's usually the tunnel of torture because it's the handiest and fastest.
I may dry it, if there's shade and time. Usually I try and get it washed while my wife is grocery shopping.
With arthritis in my back. My hand washing the truck days are pretty much over.
I'm sure not going to hand wash in over 100°.

Agreed. It is so easy to wash compared to my last truck. I usually go over mine with Maguire's spray detailer if time permits. Is it just me? After washing your Mav, by hand as it deserves it,,, I just gotta step back, crank up the tunes, crack open a cool one and admire my truck!

Cordless leaf blower @150 mph ....... Just stand backI got the same one for the same reason, the strange thing is that I use it for drying my windows screeners more often than in my maverick.
Beautiful! You’re talking about the old ratio, 80% perspiration 20% admiration! Is it just me? After washing your Mav, by hand as it deserves it,,, I just gotta step back, crank up the tunes, crack open a cool one and admire my truck!

Thank you for mentioning that - never in all my used to new cars have I ever seen that effect. And again after 20 minutes when you come back and see the water marks and drip lines coming from all the trim pieces.![]()
There's just no way I can get excited about hand washing the truck when you know it's going to be painful afterwards.Sadly I agree. I have 3 herniated disc’s plus some other fun things going on in my back. As much as I want to give my little truck some loving by a good hand wash I pay for it later. I feel your pain. Arthritis in my spine does not help matters.Thank you for mentioning that - never in all my used to new cars have I ever seen that effect.
I was starting to wonder if some glue or die was running out.
Hate the sprayer won't take it off, needs some physical, which my shoulders aren't cooperating with currently.
Yep.And again after 20 minutes when you come back and see the water marks and drip lines coming from all the trim pieces.![]()
I've been using Adams Waterless Wash and a microfiber cloth to clean those up. Works great.I feel your pain. Arthritis in my spine does not help matters.
Yep.Everytime.
I thought about posting about that.
It doesn't matter what you dry it with. This happens even after the car wash blow dry.
Once you start driving, you have drip lines from all the plastics.
