Hello all. I read a while back that the software that ford was installing to resolve some of these recalls was causing even more problems. I have held off having my recalls done in the hopes that they would work the bugs out. Today I have 20k miles on my 2023 hybrid xl and its time for an oil change. I was hoping I could drop the truck off and have all of the recalls done at the same time. Can I get an all clear? Or do I run for the hills?

I have a rule of thumb for software recalls or software updates for ANYTHING; if possible wait at least 60 days, or better 90 days after initial public rollout. OEM's now days don't want to do multiple cycles of Beta/pre-release or early-release testing before rolling out something en masse.

Waiting a bit gives time for the OEM to have fixed further issues (seems common now days) that crop up early in the public rollout.

Your recalls are over 90 days of being implemented. I would get them all done. I have. I haven't had any issues. Drove 600 miles in one day, nothing bad happened.

It is my understanding that I have waited several months beyond the actual recalls so I was hoping all bugs are out. I will read through a few more replies and get a feel. So far one all clear.

I have an EcoBoost, but just had the "mobile service" van come to my house this morning. Had the turn signal outage recall and the....other lighting related recall (can't "recall" what it was for ;) ) done. Now my dash hyper-flashes (I have aftermarket LED bulbs), but my actual bulbs do not. Did a walk-around to confirm. So as long as I am cool listening to a "fast click" from my dash, all is good. Surprisingly it doesn't seem like the recalls killed my ForScan mods. I still don't see the seat-belt reminder or hear the chime, etc.... I'll have to check to see if it messed with my battery charge level. I had upped it to 95%.

I have had all but one done for awhile and have no issues. The one that seemed to be the problem is being done next week.

God speed little Maverick.

I just hit 17,500 on my 2023 hybrid XLT, and have had all the affected software recalls installed (minus the back-up cam issue that still has no fix :(). They also performed an additional PCM reprogramming under the 23P18 recall after I told them I had a check engine light come on with an air leak message on two separate occasions. Since the reprogramming I have not seen it return, or had any engine light indicators come on.

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping to hear from a good 20 or so owners so I could draw a firm conclusion or feel for the current state of the software updates. So far everyone seems to be giving me the all clear.

I'm with you OP. I have at least 4 recalls that I have been putting off as well. I figured, I'm not having any problems now so why risk it esp since my wife drives the Maverick now.
But.... I've decided to get them done hoping they've fixed all the bugs. I will call and get it schedule.

I have done ZERO of the recalls for the exact same reason. If it ain't broke why fix it right? I had hyper flash happen once, has not happened since. Hyper flash I can live with.

My dad came over the other day. Said hey did u hear about the backup cam recall? Of course I did, and what happens? Next time I take the truck out the screen froze. Has done it twice since then. Geeeeez
