I'm ordering my Maverick and I'm stuck on some options, the ones listed in the title. I love a red pickup truck, so I'm set on Ruby Red.

Here is my order so far:
2025 Maverick XLT Ruby Red with BAP

Here is the Luxury Package option:
2025 Maverick XLT Ruby Red with Luxury Package

Here it is with neither:
2025 Maverick XLT Ruby Red

Either way, I'm opting for they Hybrid Engine AWD with splash guards, floor mats w/carpet, bedliner spray-in, and the bed soft cover.

I'm mainly stuck on the coloring differences between the BAP and the Luxury Package. I like the grill and the rims on the BAP, but I'm not too crazy about the hood decals they add. I'm also iffy on the black painted roof, but not as bad as the hood decals. Then there is the interior. The BAP changes the seat colors and cubby colors to onyx black, but I'm still not too sure if it even looks good with then navy pier environment in the first place.

The Luxury package does have the default grill and wheels without the hood decals or painted roof. It doesn't look as "mean" as the BAP which to me is a downside, but the Luxury package and default tires are thicker which seems more practical. Also, the Luxury Package uses the default interior navy pier scheme with more grey and grabber blue accents with some creature comforts like rear USB, heated seats, steering wheel vinyl, and more adjustable seats.

I referenced these two threads when doing some research:
2025 BAP Hood Decals

These photos are good. I think these are of the BAP, but it seems they didn't use the hood decals.

For some additional information, here is what I will be using the truck for. I have an Explorer for the family car. This Maverick is my vehicle to get to work. It's about an hour drive, but I only have to drive in a few days a week. There is snow in my state in the Winter. I plan on also using the vehicle to take the dogs to the Vet with the bed of the truck, and maybe let the kids sit back there on some short country rode drives. I might also use it after shopping to put small furniture or help some friends move small things or tools or anything similar that would come up that would fit in that 4 foot bed.

With Ruby Red, I prefer the BAP exterior but I am not a fan of the blue plastic with black interior. I prefer the equipment included in the luxury package. Personally I would go with the luxury package if I had to choose between the two.

First - take OFF the splash guards. For three years they have been constrained at factory causing delays for those that order with them. Have dealer order and put them on for you (that's what I did) and your order will not be delayed.

if you are in cold weather climate, you will appreciate the heated mirrors, seats and steering wheel..

By the way, when I ran these configurations, it looks like the BAP REQUIRES the LUX package on XLTs. You may not have a choice. I would run your configs again if I were you.

This is the case on the 2024, but not the 2025. The only 2025 pre-req for the BAP is AWD.

@RDRahn Also, thanks on the heads up on the splash guards. Ford stupidly obfuscates the 2025 Maverick Builder. You have to go to the main page, scroll down a little, click "Discover 2025 Maverick", click on the "Overview" dropdown, then click "Build & Price" to get to it. You'll be able to see the new Lobo trim if you page the trim selector to the far right. Here is a direct link to it though.

Reading your post, I think you have resolved your indecision. You obviously don't like the black seats with blue interior or the black roof or decals, because you want red.

So between the other two builds the luxury package offers a lot of creature comforts, which can be used almost daily. Already mentioned in a different post, heated seats, steering wheel and exterior mirrors. Yet many other features, power drivers seat, remote start on FOB, speaker upgrade etc. If your planning on driving the truck it can make it more enjoyable and safer especially the heated mirrors.

On another post they posted about not ordering splash guards and getting them later. I think that and the tonneau cover should be after market. Mabetts splash guards was like 40 and a hard trifold tonneau cover 360 from Amazon is what I did for several reasons. The splash guards use the same holes and the plastic grommet without using a metal clip to worry about different metals causing corrosion or scratching the coating. The hard cover not only offers extra security, quieter and not worrying about snow damage or removal. Also it put money in my pocket but mostly it would help to get my truck scheduled sooner. If you want to go through Ford or the dealership you could possibly use Ford Pass points as another option after delivery.

Two items I strongly suggest you look at. One is PPF paint protection film and 4k tow package, unfortunately the 4k tow on 25 required 360 1.0 so it's a hefty option 1500 approximate. Still the brake controller, 7pin wire harness, trans cooler and upgraded fan and a conventional spare. Just read a lot of posts or threads where they have to change vehicles because life has away of changing and needing more than 2000lb towing. Nobody can tell what the future may bring. Anyway those two items you might want to consider. Best of luck on your order and your decisions.

I did BAP and LUX on my XLT and don’t have a regret.
This is something I considered, but it confuses the ford site builder on the 2025 to the point where I don't know what combo I'm getting. It looks like combining them may remove the black top, hood decals, and black grill, while keeping the black rims and black onyx interior.

If you click through the images though some of them look like they have the full BAP exterior. It seems like it doesn't know what it should be and I would have to ask Ford what will actually come out of that combo.

Here that is in the builder:
Both Options Selected

100% get the lux package.

I wanted the black out on the Eruption Green Lariat I ordered, but I thought it was too pricey, so I skipped it. Not sure what the blue/truffle is going to look like with green, though.

I was a little confused when I read the heading because they are really two different packages without overlap. If I had to choose and I did when I had my XLT I chose the Lux package but I see where you are coming from, BAP just looks better with Ruby Red. I think you would be short changing yourself if you don't get the Lux package and if money isn't the issue then get BAP as well. BAP is for the eyes and the Lux package you are getting things that benefit your experience and comfort.

I like the interior of the BAP, but Ford has made it an expensive package for 2025.

@Hunters Edge I took your advice on the protective film. I also went with the luxury package over the BAP and removed the splash guards and cover from the order. I didn't go with the tow package, because the '25 explorer we got can tow 5,000 lbs.

Yeah for 800 it's a great deal for 1500 and having to buy the 360 1.0 is hard to rationalize that decision. Unless it's needed or someone wanted the 360 1.0 already. Still having a trans cooler and the other features are great for longevity. Best of luck with your order and definitely with your new Maverick. Hope you keep us updated with the progress of your order. Once you take delivery I and others are looking forward to some pictures of your new ride.
