You would drive from Ohio to Washington just to see Mavericks with tents?Looks great. Only reason I would ever venture to the left coast is the scenery.
The views look amazing.
No as it would be out of mh way to drive to Ohio first and then to Washington. You would drive from Ohio to Washington just to see Mavericks with tents?

Posted pics on the internet are forever as opposed to a unlikely random glance at someone's plate on the road. There are various reasons why someone may not want their license plate on the internet including being in law enforcement. The man wants privacy . . . I respect that.Do you white out your plate while driving also when thousands of people see it, or just in a forum where a couple hundred do?
Your average driver isn’t paying attention to license plates on the road, but identity thieves are definitely lurking online. Scammers can easily use sites like KBB or Car Gurus to pull up all the info they need from a license plate and even list someone else’s car for sale without owning it. That’s why, even though some people aren’t great at blocking out plates, I’d still cover mine. Same goes for sharing VIN numbers—it’s public info, sure, but there’s no reason to make it easier for scammers if you can help it.Do you white out your plate while driving also when thousands of people see it, or just in a forum where a couple hundred do?
Forgive them. They are from Oakland. They don't know any better. No as it would be out of mh way to drive to Ohio first and then to Washington.
Where did you gather I would do such a thing?

This should be used for a Ford ad! Beautiful pictures. This weekend, I ventured into central Washington with one of my partners on our way to the Ellensburg Rodeo. We took our hybrid Maverick and Roam Vagabond XL roof top tent to enjoy the views along the way.

First stop was a forest service road off of Rt. 2. Alas, the perfect spot was obstructed by a boulder and downed tree. Note to self: bring the reciprocating saw to do minor clearing to the best spots.

After turning around, the Mrs agreed to a beautiful spot overlooking a burned out canyon from a previous forest fire.

As the sun set, the stars shone through the light smoke in the air for a breathtaking view of the Milky Way, Sagittarius, and even the Andromeda Galaxy.

Day two started with bacon, eggs, and cabbage, then off to Leavenworth for a wander.

Next stop, Douglas Creek Canyon. We looked at the northern route, but it was meh with a water hazard I didn't want to drive through. We decided to try the southern entrance. Alas, we couldn't get far having only front wheel drive and standard tires, but I scouted and found the best spot.

With scouting done, it was time to get set up.

The second night did not disappoint as the stars danced above once more.

We even saw a few shooting stars.

With night gone again, it was time to say goodbye to the canyon.

Nothing left but memories and my dusty butt!

My normal mileage with just the rack and no tent is about 39mpg.I would like to know what the reduction in gas mileage was with the tent container on the top?
Thanks
