Service bulletins for dashboard rattles?

Does someone have a reference to Ford service bulletins for dashboard rattles etc? I want to take the info to my dealer when I leave it for the repair. Mine is a rumble type sound. Could be where the hooded part of the speedometer/tach touches the dash, could be the duct to the defrost vent at the windshield. I'll leave the buzz made by the display for another time... I do love my truck and want it to be the best that it can be

You are the lucky one. Or you don't notice it anymore. Meanwhile, I heard Ford has a service bulletin regarding this ubiquitous problem in the '22 model year Mavs.

I have a 23 (May 2023 production) with dash rattling when you are on a rough road or hit a rumble strip or pothole. Any news on a tech bulletin? I'm scared to allow them to remove the dash.

On my '22 Lariat hybrid, I used a length of 5/8 backer rod wedged between the windshield (acoustic version) and the dashboard. I pushed it in until it had good contact with both surfaces, which left a bulb of the backer bar showing.
It shutup all of my dash rattles and buzzes. It's too bad that we have to do crap like that but at least it worked and was cheap. Less than $5 at my local ACE hardware store.

RE: Dash noises - no, I have not seen a response that references a service bulletin or any service related fix. My primary noise is a rumble when I go over uneven pavement. It seems to be coming either from where the hood over the instrument cluster meets the dash or from where the defrost duct connects to the vent just below the windshield --- or both. My center screen rattles but I will leave that for another time. As with others, I am afraid to let them open the dash without clear guidance from Ford. Meanwhile there is no noise from the passenger side of the dash.

Thank you! I am familiar with the coiled foam product to which you refer. Thanks for the excellent photos. I will find my foam and use a soft tool and wedge it in as shown. I hope the Ford guy/gal who monitors this forum will push this issue up and make dash noise a customer satisfaction issue. Ford is well aware based on articles I read that quality control is an issue across the line and costs Ford money.

Not familiar with the band "Plastic Ono" but I'll try to find a sample online. Meanwhile the rumble over rough pavement is somewhat subdued by the method I originally described. Perhaps it keeps the rumble from projecting up from the dash.

I have a 24 Eco AWD Lariat and when I am idling with foot on the brake I hear a pretty sizable rattle coming from what appears to be behind the back seat. This started at around 10,000 miles. Any Ideas? If i take my foot off the brake the rattle stops.

1. Check for items under the rear seat in the storage area. 2. Check the rear seat seatbelt metal buckles and retractor such that they aren't touching anything. 3. Check the jack and tools are tightly stowed. 4. Check that the seatback is properly and fully latched. 5. Look for for some stray or random object that fell behind the seat.
